Emily Woods has been an avid reader her whole life and a lover of western movies.
A few years ago, Emily started writing her own stories. She started writing Western Romance and Mail Order Bride stories because she absolutely love writing about the women that helped settle the Wild West.
I have unofficially crowned author Emily Woods as "Queen of the mail order brides short novellas." Having read at least 20 of her entertaining offerings, they are always heart-warming, sweet, and clean with an eventually happy ending, although through difficulties.
This one is no exception and features the mother-in-law from H**L plus plenty of suspenseful twists and turns as mail order bride Edith and rancher Samuel try to establish a marriage in spite of his sabotaging mother's menacing machinations to pull them apart.
I liked this book's storyline. I liked Edith's character. I liked Sam's character. I liked how Sam stood up for Edith. I didn't like Gertrude. I liked the ending. This story had a lot of errors.
That Gertrude is a real trip when Edith arrives! Poor Edith doesn't stand a chance. So glad I have never had to deal with a mother in-law like that. Very good story and loved the ending!
Edith is a strong woman but she is not sure if she is strong enough to handle her mother-in-law-to-be. I really can’t say much about this story because it might be a spoiler. I can say that this book is fun to read.
Edith and the Vengeful Mother -in- Law by Emily Woods is a good short story. What can I say some Mother - in - Laws are great and some a pain. Liked this. Thanks
