There are a few grammatical errors and I wish the images were colored and not in black and white. Some of the photos are hard to see and I would not have known what it was unless you told me. For example, the picture for the lemon pop looks like a lollipop instead of a frozen treat. Bit misleading. The nut brittle also looks like a magical bubbling potion in a pan instead of candy.
In general the book was okay. It featured a lot of recipes that I wouldn't want to eat though. Not that they were bad. They were just foods I have no interest in eating such as the meat, seafood, and pumpkin related ones. While reading the recipes it mentioned a candy thermometer. First time I hear of such a thing. Had no idea this exists!
Rock cakes was the only recipe I would like to try, but not sure how I feel about since it needs dairy and I am lactose intolerant.
