[Siren The Stormy Glenn ManLove Erotic Alternative Romance, M/M, HEA] As a lieutenant on the city's elite SWAT team, I had a job I loved. I lived in a beautiful penthouse apartment overlooking the city park. And the love of my life spent every night in my arms. My life was pretty damn good. Someone should have told me I was the comic relief. I would have prepared better for it--or at least remembered to wear underwear. Tonight was the one year anniversary of the night Sal and I met. It was special. I was going to propose. It would have been a whole lot easier to propose if the man I wanted to propose to was actually there. Tonight was supposed to be perfect. Which was why I was not thrilled that someone was messing with it. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
About Me I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.
I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

I didn't think I could love Lany/Salvador more but I was wrong. "Hot Mess" book 2 is another fantastic follow up to this series. In this installment we see Lany/Salvador a year into their relationship being a regular couple, with their explosive chemistry and still so in love.
In this book we see them dealing with some miscommunications, secrets being kept but with justification at least, for me. But Lany/Salvador always make it work their love is so much bigger than any obstacles they might face. I think Lany was my favorite in this one, because regardless of what he was feeling towards Salvador's attitude he never did anything stupid. Salvador was still the same protective alpha that he is. Some of the things he had to do were frustrating but I understood his position.
I have to say that I'm not a fan of series with the same couples the most I can read is two books. But with these guys that I've fallen in love with I'm so looking forward to their next adventure. ♥️
Reread 4/18/18 I actually liked this one more this time around. While I didn’t like what Sal did in the beginning of the story, I could feel how much he hated deceiving Lany. These two find themselves in the most ridiculous, OTT situations but that’s part of the charm of these stories.
Original Review 3.5 stars!! This one wasn't quite as good as the first for one reason only. Sal. I adored him in the first book and I loved him in the second half of this book. But what he put Lany through in the first half just pissed me off. I didn't like how he put his job first and some things that happened with no explanation to Lany. But halfway through he became the Sal from the first book. Moving on to #3.
Ooooh, I’m liking this series about clumsy Lany and his protective boyfriend, SWAT commander Sal!
We got an overdose of hurt/comfort in this, I couldn’t have been happier.
Lany and Sal are now together for a year and quite happy together. But things go awry when Lany’s uncle, the police commissioner, and internal affairs ask Sal to go undercover, but to not tell Lany anything about it. Sal doesn’t like this, but it looks like he has no choice if he wants to keep his job. They even came up with a girlfriend for him!
And that’s how Lany thinks Sal is hiding something, Sal forgetting about their anniversary, and eventually Lany getting hurt while Sal isn’t picking up his phone…
I absolutely loved this. Lany gets hurt a lot in this , and since it’s kind of Sal’s fault because he was too busy with his case to listen to Lany, Sal had to do lots of groveling. I absolutely loved it.
This book was had a lot of action, a great deal of hurt/comfort, and also lots of sweet loving between these wonderful guys.
*** We pick up with our dear men one year later. *** I loved Salvador and his Italian accent, and he loves Lany so deeply, and vice versa. These two guys are perfect for each other. This past year they have enjoyed living together and their love just gets better and better. In this episode, Salvador is ordered to take on an undercover sting in their department, to find out who the "leak" is at the station. In the beginning, Sal isn't allowed to tell Lany what he's doing, and it's killing Sal to not be honest with Lany. When Lany is attacked twice
Sal has had enough of the complicated case. It's such a twisted web. I love Stormy Glenn's characters and her well written, twisty turning plots. We get to see our men re-ignite their passion, with super hot sexiness, lots of Italian mushy talk.... and renewed dedication to each other. The case is a messy one, and the story is wonderful. I always look forward to more from this author. ENJOY ! ===============
Oh man did Sal piss me off in this one. WTF dude? 😡😡 I hated how uncertain he made Lany feel and all his undercover bullshit. But as my GR friend Janie put it "this is Stormy Glenn we're talking about" so you know it's going to be okay. I was just glad it was settled by about 50% and not dragged out the whole damn book. 😂 Sal is still all kinds of delicious. 😍
I enjoyed this one too. Sal annoyed me in the beginning but it worked out in the end. I love Lany even more. I love them together and can keep reading books with them featured.
Since I basically just finished book one in this new series I was beyond excited that the author had already finished two and, in fact, she's working on book three. Yay! So I think you can tell that I was pretty jazzed, right? The only thing that made it even better was discovering that this book, 'Hot Mess 2', follows right along with Sal and Lany! Holy Jebus, peeps! That's gold in my hands right there. I love book serials and to have (at least) the first two follow the same couple is better than fudge. Well, okay, that might be stretching it, but it's close.
It's been a year since Sal and Lany met and they're happier than ever together. Unfortunately, this undercover gig the commissioner (Lany's uncle) and the yahoo from Internal Affairs want Sal to take means he can't tell Lany about it. Since a huge part of their relationship is based on honesty and trust, Sal isn't happy about this. However, because of his relationship with Lany, and Lany's wealthy family, Sal is the perfect person to impersonate a cop wanting to make some more cash. Sigh. I had bad feelings about this.
Really, Stormy? You had to make me so sad for Lany when his proposal plans fell through? It's bad enough Lany knows something is going on with Sal that he's not telling him and Lany can't get him alone long enough to find out, but there's a new detective on the force and he's not nice. Worse than that, he's out for Lany's blood. When Lany goes missing along with this Detective Wheeler, Sal is ready to murder someone. Lany is found in pretty bad shape and it about broke my heart.
This very exciting installment had a load of police corruption, betrayal, and a whole lot of people Sal, Lany, and the SWAT team couldn't trust. It made for an intriguing read. I was a little disappointed by the number of inconsistencies in this book but I tried to ignore them in favor of two characters I adore. I'm looking forward to the next thrilling adventure in the series.

hot mess reread Do swat team members really get loaned out to other depts?
It really was a-holish to not remember to call and then to fall asleep in the couch.
The premise is rather far-fetched.
The difference between an apartment, a condo, and a pentohouse has nothing to do with cost. An apartment is in a building in which all the units are rented out (and almost always owned by the building owner). A condo is an apartment that is individually owned. It might be rented out but it's rented by the unit owner. A penthouse is a unit on the top floor of a building. Oh could be an apartment, a condo, or even a hotel room.
Why are the only two women a mom who worries too much and orders catering and an evil incompetent bitch?
Good peril.
** spoiler alert ** VERY raw notes, may contain spoilers but probably nothing major. I write my reviews on my smart phone so autocorrect sometimes does interesting things. You've been warned.
It's Lany and Sal's first anniversary of when they met and Lany is excited to propose to Sal, except Sal is late for their anniversary dinner and Lany can't get through to him on his phone. Sal is sent undercover with a couple new characters and Agent Burke returns to help save the day.
This second book in the series has a lot more action than the first. It also has some twists you don't see coming. I actually liked it better than the first book.
Sal and Lany are settling into a life together but something is missing. Will they fix it before it is too late? Hot Mess 2 by Stormy Glenn returns to Sal and Lany’s world. I love seeing where they have ended up. Ms. Glenn returns right around the couple’s one year anniversary. I love seeing that Lany and Sal are still together and growing within their relationship. I love that Ms. Glenn showed us life after the happily ever after isn’t always smooth sailing. Lany knows Sal is keeping secrets but never expected them to pose a danger to them, even if Sal is a cop. Sal hates lying to Lany and it is killing his soul. Will doing his job cost him his love? Ms. Glenn returns to this world and sets it on destruction. Can Lany and Sal survive the danger? Can they survive the secrets? Can they survive Lany’s family? This story continues Sal and Lany’s journey and Ms. Glenn keeps us on the edge of our seats. There are unexpected twist and tests of loyalty. There is pain. There are tears. But there also is love. I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world with this quick continuation of Lany and Sal’s journey.
Holy hell. I’m like 42% in and I have no idea how things have gotten to the point that they did. I wouldn’t be reading this particular scene if the main character had done what he would have done (because he isn’t this much of a doormat!) and had the detective charged with assault. Why in the hell would he not??? I am completely blown away that he’d just be like “oh well, dude beat the shit out of me in the bathroom but I’m too afraid(?) to say anything?” This is such a come down from the first book and this portion of the plot is just stupid imo.
Yep, that was a hot mess of a plot start to finish. I’m still struggling to figure out why all of the characters became a whole hell of a lot stupider. Too bad. Here’s hoping book 3 makes up for it!
Lany & Sal are freaking amazing. I feel so bad for Lany, he really has rotten luck. Anyway, the story continues with these two lovebirds and it's a nice escape to think that everything will be smooth sailing. The plot thickens, players are added to the game, and Lany & Sal must fight their way to each other and outside forces.

This is one of those "guilty thrills". How can it not be?? Lany fixes a special dinner for Sal-- who has NO CLUE it's their 1st anniversary (such a schmuck)-- but Sal isn't home. It's mayhem front to back, with little tidbits of I LOVE LUCY tossed in for good measure. I now adore this series!!!
I'm going back and leaving a rating for all the books in the series that I didn't rate at the time. I'm giving all the books in the series the same rating because I enjoyed each of them immensely.
I am re-reading all of the Hot Mess stories and really enjoying them. Poor Lany has the worst luck in that he can't even go to obtain paperwork from a new police hire and he is attacked by that man but refuses to tell Sal the truth. Sal is involved in investigating a leak in the department and they have leads that are disturbing and Sal is recruited for uncover work and has to pretend to be on the take and he has to lie to Lany which he hates and he misses their anniversary of their first meeting. Lany is very hurt when Sal comes home late and smells of booze and perfume and has lipstick on his clothes and he is more hurt when he meets Julia the new trainee who is blonde and voluptuous and very flirty. Lany ends up kidnapped by the cop who had attacked him on the first day and he barely survives. I wasn't surprised to find out Julia was bad and that the cop had attacked Lany and had escaped was the head of the bad guys and so glad that they were caught. Lany and Sal are so good together and I love that Lany has such good instincts but frustrated that not everyone listens to him.
Just as well written as the first book and by that I mean the story focuses on the characters. I didn't like how Sal ignored Lany and it resulted in him being hurt but I understand that it was necessary to the plot of the story. I don't want to give too much away. I can say if you want a fast entertaining read that combines a romance with a little bit of an investigation you might want to read this book.

SG, when will you return to your original writing style? 1yrs gone by the MC's still the same not getting a description of either to build them in my mind. the constant change of POV annoying. wish she'd had developed the story more had promise but failed to deliver.
story -5 meh holes big enough to see through - 2 loving -9 come on meet expectations repetitiveness -3 just a bland, meh kind of story.
Certainly another action packed story.. I didn't quite follow all the connections to see how this built up around Sal and Lany but I still liked it.
All the action did have an adverse reaction to the romance side of this. There isn't much there and the sex was not a main part (or small if thinking quantity) of the story at this time. Bad guys and protecting. But still, I did like it.
I wanted to punch Sal a few times , luckily for him, he redeemed himself. Then came Whelan...OMG I want to do to him what he did to Lany! I predicted what happened and was glad to see the butt whopping that ocurred. Excellent addition to the series and I look forward to the next!
This book is better than the first one . Alot more action and suspense . Lany fights to stay alive while Sal searches for him when he is kidnapped by a fellow officer . Great love story .
I read the 1st book and loved it. I was glad to see a part 2. It was just as intriguing and suspenseful as the 1st. The love between the couple is very heart felt. I hope there are more books about these 2.
It's just as great as the first book. I couldn't stop reading it, I find myself staying up late reading, just to find out what would happen next. So far this is a great series, I would recommend it.
This is a sequel to the first Hot Mess book but could be read as a standalone. The story and action seemed a bit far fetched to me but the story moved along and was entertaining.
