What is the difference between people who are super disciplined, and the ones who have none? What are they doing differently, what is different in their thinking?
I was obsessed with self-discipline. I went through almost all courses, books, blogs, and articles, to answer this question. Through the learning process, I understood one thing, that there is so much rubbish information on the internet. Most of these strategies which I have tried are useless and don't work. Only a few of the methods provided actually worked. Yes only a few, but those few worked like magic.
The strategies in this book are borrowed from the most disciplined and successful people on this planet. The book is written in a simple and understandable language. If you really want to take charge of your life, order a copy and accept the challenge and get results most people can only dream of.
I liked that this book broke it down by steps, which is pivotal to following the steps within this book. In addition, I find the steps are simple to follow. I think the one aspect about this book that I didn’t like that each chapter did not have helpful tasks for each step before going onto the next step. Overall, I find that it’s a good book to begin with in a starting journey.
This was a rehash of many different works such as Steven Covey, don Miguel Ruiz and David Allen. A lot of it was telling you to discipline yourself to do this or that. The writing wasn’t very good from basic spelling errors (brake instead of break, or off instead of “of”) To wired phrasing. It made me think that English wasn’t the author’s first language.
Since it's called an "ultimate guide" I expected a certain degree of depth and accuracy in this book, but I was completely wrong, I'm afraid. I see the effort, but unfortunately I think this is all there is to it.
A "guide" is something more than a compilation of good quotes and inspiring paragraphs; a good structure isn't provided by short, titled chapters alone, when many topics get repeated more than once in different parts of the book; correct grammar and spelling should be basic requirements in any published text; and finally, what I found most disappointing - this book covers "self-discipline" in a VERY broad sense, to say the least. I think it's ultimately more about motivation and forming new habits, and it doesn't really delve too deep in these topics either.
A huge listing of all kinds of self-help related tricks one could use, with a couple of superficial clickbait-style paragraphs each. No depth, no real structure, no focus on self-discipline.
Talks a lot about how great the book is and how successful you will become after reading it, like in the title.
