When north meets south, sparks fly.

Adrian is a student from a northern college transferring to Georgia Tech. Used to seeing snowmobiles outnumbering the cars on campus, Adrian finds himself living in a state hotter than hell and feeling completely lost in the heart of Atlanta. A chance encounter introduces him to Davis who Adrian knows is trouble, but can’t help falling for.
Davis is the picture of big man on campus and oozes with confidence, at least until he meets Adrian. Something about Adrian has Davis’s usual charm flying out of the window and everything goes from smooth to hell as Davis tries to make Adrian his own.
Between awkward dates, second-degree burns, study sessions, and snow, the two stumble their way into a relationship neither had planned. Will Davis give up the bachelor life to take a chance at a relationship with Adrian, or will he walk away from something special just to stick to his original plan?

Short, sexy and sweet—where a little love goes a long way.
That’s the best way to describe Jackie Nacht’s stories. I was introduced to M/M Romance through my sister, Stephani, and read it for years. Then, I thought it was time to put my own stories on paper. I began writing short and sweet stories that ended with a happily ever after…and sometimes more than one, in the case of my YA Fork in the Road series, which has interactive endings.
Thinking back to my own book addiction, where there were many nights I stayed up way too late so I could read just one more chapter—yeah, right—I decided to write short romances for young adults as well as adults. Hopefully, they will give high school and college students, or working men and women something they can read during their lunch hour, in between classes or just when they want to briefly get away from the daily stresses of everyday life.

When I first read this I gave it 4.5 stars. Now that I've re-read it for the third time I'm going to drop my rating to 3.5 stars. It was still cute, but not that special.

Original review:

Adorable!!
I absolutely loved this sweet, no angst whatsoever, college romance.

Davis is not ready for a relationship, that’s why he’s upfront to his bedpartners about it, only one night stands, that’s it. But because of that, he has earned himself quite the reputation on campus.

Shy Adrian just transferred to Georgia Tech and hopes he will make friends soon. He lucks out with his roommates, since they accept him immediately and take him under their wing.

It is at a football game where he meets Davis, who knows his roommates. But even though Adrian heard about Davis being a bit of a player, he doesn’t quite believe it when all Davis does around Adrian is fall flat on his face or hurt himself another way in his clumsiness.

Davis is immediately smitten with Adrian. He cannot get the shy, cute guy with the dimples out of his head. The two form a tentative friendship at first, but are upfront about their attraction to each other. They just decide to take it slow… (don't worry, we get a nice steamy scene near the end)

This was a very cute romance. There is no angst whatsoever, so yay!
I loved how confident Davis got clumsy everything he was around Adrian. It was so cute.

Absolutely recommended for low-angst lovers.

“North meets South” can be intriguing, and this fun story about two students meeting up at Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, shows quite a few of the details and differences that can occur. Meet Adrian, who is used to snow and calls every soft drink “pop”, and Davis, who has grown up in Georgia’s heat and refers to soft drinks as “Coke” – never mind what brand they are. But those are only a few of the superficial differences. As it turns out, Adrian and Davis have much more in common than either of them expect when they first meet at a college football game.

Adrian is a little shy, very focused on getting his engineering degree, and has transferred to Georgia Tech because it’s one of the best schools for preparing him for his chosen career. He’s been new on campus before, so getting used to new roommates and a different school is not all that difficult. Some of the classes kick his behind, but he is determined to make things work. The constant heat, differences in vocabulary, and falling for a total player are much more of a hindrance than he expected.

Davis is bisexual, hugely popular, and can’t imagine ever settling down. There are far too many people to get to know –intimately – for him to limit himself to one partner. But all of that changes when he meets Adrian at the beginning of his final undergraduate year. Suddenly he wants to get to know someone much better than ever before, and “showing Adrian around” his new home city becomes the excuse for many fun encounters. Before he knows it, Davis is far more involved than he could have imagined.

If you like stories about young men who are just beginning to find their way in life, if the setting of Atlanta and a hot Georgian summer sounds interesting, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read and a sweet romance, then you will probably like this novella.

"Has the player met his match?"

As a civil engineering student, Davis had no interest in relationship OR love. As the big man on campus, his job was to work through the population and enjoy himself while earning his degree. Until one faithful night when he risked life and limb on meeting Adrian. The hot junior did not even realize how tempting he was and how much Davis wanted him.

Uncharted territory.

Out of the northern cold, that was Adrian's thought when he entered the southern university. He was a fish out of water, but slowly he was finding his way. Finding himself the main attraction to Davis threw him for a loop, yet he liked it. Adrian found himself often in the other man's company and it was becoming harder and harder to deny the chemistry.

With sweet nothings and taking their time, Davis and Adrian fulfilled the authors quota of fluff and temptation. Sometimes, insta-love is just what is needed.

This is my second book by Jackie, and she didn't disappoint.

This story is short and sweet and very low on drama.
I liked the originality in career paths these two have chosen. Who would really think to write about Civil Engineering? Jackie did, and she made it not sound boring LOL!

Davis is a player, but when he literally falls into Adrian, his future plans of just "having fun until he graduates" kind of fly out the window. Davis wasn't one of those cocky player types either, he's just kind of silly and funny. I found myself laughing a few times. I especially thought it was adorable that normally he was a charmer, but around Adrian, he's clumsy as all-get.

Adrian is the shy but focused type. He just wants to make it through his courses with his head above water (pun intended?). Hr never really expected to find friends and was completely surprised by his roommates and how easily they accepted him.

Mara, David's BFF, is probably one of my favorite characters. She seems like a really great friend to have. She's somewhat of a meddler, but not in a pushy, nagging, kind of way. It's also mainly because Davis has dragged her in to be his wing "man".

Overall, the story, the characters, the writing have left me feeling pretty good that I read this story. I just wish it was a bit longer, only because I enjoyed reading about Adrian and Davis.

Adrian is a junior who transfers from a school near his home in Michigan to Georgia Tech. Shortly after starting school, Adrian meets Davis. Davis is a senior who is open, friendly, charming and usually smooth, yet something happens to Davis when he gets around Adrian. He seems to lose all his smoothness and becomes an accident prone klutz.

I loved both Adrian and Davis they had an amazing chemistry and connection. Davis' antics had me laughing out loud. This was a sweet, light, funny, romantic and steamy college love story with no angst. Well-written and paced well, it left me all warm and fuzzy feeling and with a smile on my face!! Highly recommended!!

Quick easy read.
Character driven plot which Is not my favourite, I like to have something else going on. YA/college setting.
Davis falls - literally - the first time he sees Adrian, and keeps on landing in daft situations whenever they meet - not his smooth, suave self. The story covers their dating over the course of a college year.
Cute, sweet, no angst at all.

Jackie Nacht has crafted yet another tale that is so easy to love! Engineering Love is sweet, low angst and features vibrant three dimensional MC’s that is sure to capture your heart.

Let’s start with our bad boy ( because we all love them of course)!
Davis is a bad boy, he’s irresistible, he’s in total carpe diem mode, determined to sample everything on campus before he’s forced to grow up and become a “respectable” tax paying member of society. Davis embodies everything most people dream of. Ya know? The three B’s? Beauty, Brains, Body. It’s unfair when one person gets all the luck LOL. But Davis uses it all to his advantage and was having the time of his life until his plans of sampling the buffet got smashed to smithereens when he met Adrian.

Oh, Adrian. Adrian sweet Adrian! Adrian is an engineering student who transferred to Georgia Tech his Junior year of college. The move was made because Georgia tech offered the best Civil Engineer program. Adrian, is a fish out of water and a bit shy. Thankfully, he was lucky to have roommates that took him under their wings making the homesickness not as overwhelming as it could have been.

A chance meeting with Davis sets the stage for these two to ultimately fall in love and boy was it sweet to watch Davis fall head over heels ( both literally and figuratively) for my sweet Adrian. The time they spent exploring the city and Davis tutoring Adrian gave them plenty of hours to get to know each other and fall a little deeper in love while fearful of ruining a budding friendship.

This story is short and sweet. I wish it were a bit longer simply because I adored these two so much. If you’re looking for a quick, light-hearted well written read snag a copy of Engineering Love . I enjoyed every minute spent reading this.

Adrian is an engineering student from Upper Peninsula, Michigan who has just transferred to Georgia Tech. He’s getting used to the heat and the new place. He’s already thinking how homesick he is going to be. “Twenty hours away from his family. Cheese and crackers, what he had been thinking?” But he wants to be a civil engineer and Georgia Tech has the best program, so he’s going to make it work.
He’s lucky in that he’s rooming in a suite with Mark, Brandon and Luke, all gay, all nice and all ready to be friends. He’s feeling hopeful. He is excited to go to his first football game and it is there he meets Davis, the charming flirt who “…has made his way through the male population on campus”, all smooth. Except, around Adrian, he isn’t. They actually meet as Davis smashes into Adrian at the game, nearly face-planting him and end the game with Davis falling off the aisle onto this butt. Not an auspicious beginning.
Poor Davis, this happens repeatedly. He is used to getting no strings attached guys. He’s focused on his studies and that means no relationships. With Adrian, something feels different. He’s trying to be his usual charming self and instead ends up like a bumbling clown. It’s actually very cute. I adored his best friend, Mara. She is the voice of reason who can out jog Davis and put him in his place while still being incredibly supportive. It is Mara who assures Davis that even though he’s scared, it’s okay to put himself out there for Adrian. He starts off by helping Adrian study and it’s here that the two become friends and more.
I liked both Adrian and Davis very much. Both are a little insecure, though they show it in different ways. Davis hasn’t ever wanted a relationship so it’s new to him. Adrian can’t believe someone like Davis would want to be with a shy guy like himself. So they have navigate new territory together.
The awkwardness of Davis around Adrian is endearing and Adrian growing into his new life is lovely. There’s no angst here, no big misunderstandings or problems. Just two people falling in love. It’s sweet and I enjoyed it.

Oh how I enjoyed this book!!! I was a little apprehensive at first because of it being a couple of college guys and that just screamed angst to me, but to my surprise...NO ANGST!!!!

Adrian is a shy guy who decides to move from upper Michigan transfer his junior year in college Georgia. He is welcomed by his new roommate and his roommates boyfriend and they become fast friends. They take him to the first football game where he has an accidental meeting with the campus player Davis.
Davis is not out looking for any relationship, but just to have a good time, that is until he falls into Adrian. He is normally Mr Cool, but he can't help but be a total klutz around the guy, he makes him totally rethink his whole single player status.

Their relationship starts slow with Davis showing Adrian around Atlanta, Davis even helps tutor him in a class Adrian is having trouble in. They soon develop feelings for each other, but neither say anything to the other about it out of fear of losing the other. That is until Davis helps a homesick Adrian feel like he is back home again.

The only problem with this book….it's to short!!!!

I give this book 5 sweet snowy stars!!!
