Jim and Karen are finally reunited, but a new horror is on the horizon. Zombie hoards are around every corner. Every moment is a fight for their lives.
Will they make it another day?
Or is this apocalypse a death sentence they won't survive?
Joseph Zuko lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and daughters. The Infected: Jim's First Day was his first novel. He recently released the final chapter in The Infected Series. When he is not writing horror fiction he spends his free time with his family, playing barbies with his girls and getting ready for the next Spartan Race. Joseph now has 8 books in The Infected series and one stand-alone horror fiction novel, Sweet Home. Sweet Home is a break from zombies to pursue a few serial killers. I am totally hooked on The Infected series by Joseph Zuko and couldn't wait to get into this book. It picks up right where book #3 ends. The survivors of the gunfight gather together and find an ingenious way to deal with the horde of thousands of undead that are beginning to surround them. Unknown to them, the author introduces new characters from the church group and readers follow them while en route to find their missing comrades who were killed by the members of Jim's group. Undoubtedly, there will be another gunfight when they discover the missing bodies.
It is a "gut punch" to readers when characters they've followed and liked are killed in this story. Mr. Zuko is getting good at making that happen. I will begin book #5 tonight and look forward to see what happens to my favorite characters next and wonder who will get killed off at the end of this installment.
A great zombie apocalypse story. Plenty of Gore plenty of action great cast of characters but don’t fall in love with any particular one because they may not make it to the end. You have to read to find out who makes it. Pretty realistic considering if zombies were real it would be a crapshoot at best to see who would survive. A definite entertaining and Gorrie read
I truly enjoyed this book. Read the series and hold on to your seat. It's gonna be a wild ride! You will not be disappointed! Thank you for another good book...now let's go for the next one!
I have been following this series and was pleased to find the next book. If you like action, if you like zombies, then this is the series for you. Mr. Zukos characters are amazing. They almost seem real. Really looking forward to the next...
Love the series. This book is a fantastic continuation of an amazing story line. Twists and a frantic ending. Setting up the next book perfectly. Love the character recap and the start. More please Mr zuko
Love this series. Writing this after listening to the first 5 books. Starting 6 today. The characters are just your every day normal people. Think you, your family, your neighbors and random people you pick up along the way! You get an almost minute by minute play out of the zombie outbreak. The action is nonstop. Jim is our hero & Karen is a bad ass and I love them both so much! We get a few new characters in each book. No one is safe! Jim & Karen will do anything to keep their girls safe! The action in all of these books is nonstop. Not sure how they all keep going! I’m ready for them to have a break already! They deserve it! I want to trust Leon but he makes it so hard! This is a great series! I’ve been binging it! Tom Bishop did an amazing job narrating.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
Awesome book. Picks up right where the last book left off. We follow jim and Karen fight against the odds against them. I hate that they lost few good member's. I can say the author doesn't hold back in killing people off. It was packed full of craziness, blood bath battles! Can't wait to read the next book of this series!
Man, how many things can go wrong at once? Apparently, during Joseph Zuko's version of a zombie apocalypse, quite a few - and he makes them all seem pretty practical. As he writes this right in the general area I live, I'm really glad this is make-believe! Enjoying the characters, the writing, and then level of action and tension. Keep it up!
Once again Jim has to fight for his family to survive. There is a lot of good people lost in this book but I'm glad it needed the way it did. Can't wait to download the next book in this series!
Again great descriptive wording. I felt like a fly on the wall watching each scene. Great work again thank you for a great sequel. Kept me reading even during lunch.
Great book! The story keeps getting better and better. The only thing is don’t get attached to the characters! Lol. I like how the story line keeps evolving and the plot thickens. I keep wondering who’s going to hook up with who.
I'll be honest, this series originally appealed because it was light and fast paced. This book changes, though... deep character development, social metaphors, etc. The author has clearly grown as a writer.
I've been hooked since Book 1 and it just keeps getting better , Great characters and plenty action. , I hate that some of the good guys are gone but it is a Zombie Apocalypse
Joseph keeps Jim and Karen’s story rolling right along. There are some shockers, some losses but they find a way to keep moving forward. I am really loving this series and I’m on to the next one!
