The official artworks of Bloodborne are absolutely gorgeous. As a huge fan of Bloodborne's art style and aesthetics, I'm happy to have this book in my collection. However, I felt little disappointed by the lack of sketches as the collection mostly features characters, monsters, places and items already seen in the game. I was hoping to see some early versions as well. The paper quality is also a bit too glossy, something not very recommendable for art books.
I’ve never played this game, but seen bits of it here and there. I got this book because I liked the style and lore. I give the art 5 stars. But because there is 0 commentary, I downgraded the book to 3 stars. I would have really liked to have read some of the lore and some of the creators thoughts on design choices. (Guess I’ll go to the wikis for that stuff.)
