"Close your eyes." he croaked, I did as I was told without any disobedience. "Have you any idea how badly I want to kiss you right now?" I shook my head in reply. "Badly, so fucking badly," he whispered as his harsh breath fanned across my cheek.
Dark haired and tattooed, Xavier looked like the ultimate bad boy...but weren't bad boys meant to have that boyish charm? The thing is, Xavier was extremely guarded, hot-headed, and quite frankly, scary.
In fact, Xavier was many things but romantic and loving weren't two of them. He was a building half-built, a puzzle with half of the pieces missing...
Emily is very entitled. She walks into Xavier’s room drunk, falls asleep on his bed, and gives him attitude in the morning when he asks her to leave. “Why can’t I have a glass of water?!?!?” She whines… Then she walks into the coffee shop he works at the next morning and gives him more attitude when all he does is take her order. She asks him, “why do you work here?”
Emily is a party girl who is entitled and never sees her faults. She thinks she is all that and more. Many readers loved her obnoxious behavior. Congratulated the writer for making such a strong heroine. Emily was not a strong heroine. She was not kind and thought that the world revolves around her. Good luck. You may love these type of ridiculous heroines, but they are not for me.
4/5 - I rate how I rated the book when I first read it!
Classic Wattpad read. I remember that the mc was a badass and I loved him. Let’s not talk about how I had fallen down the rabbit hole of werewolf books and strongly held them against the vampire books…the omega x alpha & mates and soul bonds etc had me by the throat.
This book was pretty cute. I loved the difference between characters and loved their chemistry. I liked how hard they worked for their relationship, it made it more real.
This book was not one of my favorites (by far...) Not trying to hate! It's just that I hate how hot and cold Xavier is, I know he had a troubled past but it got annoying. Also, I didn't like how Emily acted. She reminded me of a little kid who never got told no, so they always pout and throw fits when they are. I did not care much for this book for other reasons as well but I think I've said enough as is...
