Another absorbing five volumes that include a fall for Utako; more Yakuza stories with a twist; the taking down of an off-key student; a huge Esper reveal story; bit yet again its fan favourite Hitomi who steals the show with a business competition! Another cool thing that this series does is manage to cover it's main cast of 10-12 characters across each volume. The understated humour is so bang-on and endearing! More Four Star, 8 out 12 worthy work from Ohtake. 2026 read
The creator seems to suddenly recall that three of the characters have super powers and a mysterious background whose mythology should be explored a little bit. Nothing really memorable or bad here, and still a solid if medium entry in the overall series with some funny moments and situations.
This is turning into one of those series where lot of really minor side characters pop up for no reason without any real reminder of their names or relevance to the series.
Oh so the psychic powers are finally relevant again! This series is ending up becoming very mediocre, with the rare laugh every now and then. But at least there's cool psychic powers now!
