Calm Before the Storm

Rate this book
A clean slate. People pray for one on occasion, some desperate individuals go to drastic measures to achieve one. I wasn’t given the choice. I woke up in a foreign country alone, afraid and with no idea who I am.
I was lucky. The reigning monarch of Cynthera and his family took me in, nursed me back to health. There’s one problem, the Crown Prince, Emory Bryn. He’s not what one would expect and the last thing I should be getting involved with. He has priorities too, his own restrictions. I’m off limits. No exceptions, no alternatives.
Trying to discover my identity and navigate my new life is exhausting enough without adding a torrid love affair into the mix. He’s a Prince and I, well; I’m a conflict of interest. Fighting our nature, choosing our duties over our desires and things turn hostile in a hurry.
When memories of my previous life start to reveal themselves I’m torn between two worlds. The one I’ve created and come to love and the one filled with questions and hints of something terrifying. How do I keep my new family and return to the family of my birth?
There’s something dark buried deep in my mind, something I don’t know if I can face. A darkness that threatens both my lives. Now I have a choice and it’s one I never wanted to make.

Hey everyone.
I'm so glad people are reading my book and adding it to must read list. Thank you. Thank you for all the support. I have gone over it so many times and sent it out to get re-editing and had the errors and pages corrected. It's all shiny and new. Thank you all for the support and suggestions.

Cheap dictation software?

Omg this book could have been so much better if someone had bothered to proofread. So many grammar and spelling errors that I have to wonder if they were on purpose? It seems like they let MS Word take the reigns and went crazy with automatic spell check and correct.

Every instance of then/than and sense/since was wrong. Ridicule/reticule. Woman/women. We're/where.

The story itself wasn't bad. A little bit immature and dry in areas but probably would have been cleaned up if someone had bothered to proofread and edit.

I feel really bad saying this, but... I'm glad I got this for free after a price drop.

I never give reviews but I mostly want the coupon for book two. This is a great book, I read it in one sitting till five in the morning and now I'm impatient for the next book. I was not expecting the ending and need to see what happens.

I don't read a lot but a friend insisted I read this and I read it so fast. I usually take weeks to read books even months but I read this in a few days. Definitly changed my view on reading.

( FYI I have previously published this review on Amazon.com.)
This book. How do I aptly describe it?
I had thought this book would be rather dull. A tale told many times over with about the same story line.
How wrong I was.
This book takes you by the throat and doesn't let go.
For a first book this author has my full and utter attention. If she can continue this story series in the same manner she has told the first book, then we have a series to be watched. This series has the potential to be great. There are a few grammatical errors, but let's be honest that's okay. Anyways I don't it detracts from the story. I will absolutely be purchasing this authors future works regardless of if they are in this series or not.
Thank you for this book and please keep going with your imagination. It is truly a gift.
