“Never tempt fate. It has a way of biting you beneath the armor.”
- Xolian saying

Captain Quinn has always been the savior, rescuing his little human mate Del from every unlikely predicament. Even with Quinn’s protective nature and Del’s tendency to find trouble, they balance each other. The mated pair are ecstatic, anxiously awaiting the birth of their twins, when disaster strikes. A mysterious illness waylays the Captain, leaving Del in charge. Being the Captain leaves Del in a bind--pregnant, a magnet for trouble, Del struggles to find his feet and keep everyone safe. All their lives are deeply impacted by Del’s command decision to seek assistance from an old enemy.

Brync and Kai fear Kai’s parents won’t accept their blossoming relationship. When Kai is ordered to return home Brync must make the decision of his life.

Rathian Raider Hastor, annoyed that he’s been mated to a Xolian, plans to ignore the spoiled, whiny, green-eyed alien until he dies from exposure to the desert climate. But Braxx may be more interesting and resilient than Hastor first expected.

Now if those babies would just arrive on time and follow their fathers well laid out plan, life could get back to normal.

“Super sexy…sassy and sweet with a rush of danger all rolled into one book!”

It was a great book, just a bit disappointed I didn't get more of Hastor, he is beyond the pale

This book lost me at 50%. Started with adventure and exploring, then turned into plain old sex with a sprinkle of screeching in-laws.

Too many couples in one book, too many POVs and not enough plot and story for each. Very disappointed with Haz and Brat’s story. Haz turned into a cranky kitten and Braxx all but disappeared, only left to comment occasionally here and there.

I don’t see how the last 2o% can tie all this mess into a semblance of a satisfying ending.

Sad attempts at BDSM promoted me to remove BDSM tag altogether.

DNFing at 78%.

3.5 stars rounded up because this was just FUN!

I definitely had fun reading this story! There is a LOT going on, and I will admit that sometimes I wish we had gotten more time with the couples since there were 3 separate relationships going on in this story. That on top of the plot, meant that things had to keep moving pretty quickly.

The ending was very sweet, and I look forward to what this author does next!

Great end to this series, the book does leave an opening for a spin off story for braxx and hastor as well as branc and kai which is great. I loved how the author didn’t overdo it on trying to tell everyone’s story in the last book, enough was provided to make you care for the additional characters but wrap up this main characters story. Even the epilogue gives hints to the possible spin offs.

This series has been a joy and sheer fun to read! Dell’s adventures make me laugh, and the whole episode of the twins birth was a riot. Then Kai and Brync, oh gosh, who would have thought a mollusk shifter could be so hot. And let’s not forget Braxx and Hastor, there has to be more to their story, it’s reslly needed. I really hope there will be a spin off series, this universe is awesome.

Awesome book, good series

Interesting book, though it seems to just stop the story in what seems to be the middle and go to the epilogue. Well worth the money spent
and hope to see more on the crew of the Nardeia merchant.

I love this series!

These stories are funny and well thought out. They offer a great deal of interpersonal angst as well as drama and humor

Cute series, however the ending was rushed! Other than that, it had snark galore which I love ❤️!

Loved this series

What a wonderful story, loved every moment. From the things said, to the hilarious one liners, to the family dynamics. Can't tell you how often I stopped and was laughing at Del's antics. Would love to hear more on Braxx and Hastor, and Brync and Kai. Thank you for your writing!

***2016 has been a very unstable year. Not only have I lost favourite role models in droves, I have been into dark places more times than I could count. Yes, I experienced highlights as well but the darkness has had a big impact this year and the only way to keep it at bay was reading, mass reading, back to back books with no stopping and no reviewing. I do apologize to all the writers that I won’t be able to review their books yet but I will get to it. Promise!***

Great read

I'm really hoping there's going to be a fourth book in this series. I love how she keeps track of so many characters at once weaving them into a complete tale. I'm never board normally laughing hard enough to bring my cats running to make sure I'm alright. With such a wonderful cast of characters I'd really love to see more of their crazy adventures.

Fans of this series will not be disappointed. The quirky humor and absurd situations continue the adventures of the crew. A fun read...looking forward to Kai's continued saga in the next installment.

Great ending

I found this series to have a lot of adventures and obstacles. They have fun that's for sure. Wish I new more details about the other mated pairs but it was still good.

Enjoyable characters and story. The birthing scene was funny and from what my sister described when my nephews were born, fairly accurate.
