I'm really glad I reread all 3 of these books, because it reminded me how inspiring characters like Tenney can be! This one focused a lot on the hardships she faced with Logan ajd not only self discovery, but a mutual connection between the two of them.
●♡ SUMMARY ♡○
Things aren't looking the best for Tenney and Logan's record deal. Tenney doesn't understand why Logan is always late to rehearsals, and why he's showing so little interest in the work she's put in to her music. Over time, things begin to get better, but when one unfortunate event happens, the two of them aren't sure if their music career is a bust or not. Tenney tries her hardest to convince Logan to rejoin the band and what an important part of it he is, and after some help from her brother Mason, and a very happy little girl named Alice, they put on a performance they'll never forget.
○♡ OPINIONS ♡○
Like I said, these books felt so nostalgic; I really wish American Girl was releasing better dolls now, like they had in the past! I really liked seeing the dynamic develop between Tenney and Logan over time, and how considerate Tenney begins to act towards Logan and his whole situation. She realizes all the tough things he's left to himself, and I love that this girl is really all about helping people, even if they're in the worst possible state! I think this book would motivate a lot of younger kids because of how realistic it is to go through the (terrifying) process of losing friends and trying to gain their trust back. I also loved how no matter what she was doing, Tenney's brother Mason was always willing to help her out; whether it be for the greater good of the friendship she has, or her music career. A really timeless, encouraging read overall I have some books I'm looking forward to getting to over Christmas break, haha :)
