Grave Walker is a fantastic, gripping crime thriller that is fast-paced, intense, full of twists, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. From beginning to end this story is non-stop, I couldn't put it down! Another great book by P.T. Reade... looking forward to reading the rest of the series! Highly recommend!
*I want to thank the author for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Another fast paced, action packed journey in Thomas Blume's hunt to find his family's killer. Alas, so close, yet so far for the lovable rogue main character. Still a smart ass and making questionable decisions and still can't catch a break. Gritty and atmospheric, I am really loving this series and can't wait to begin book six.
Another exciting chapter in the hard life & tough times of PI Thomas Blume. This time he's back in New York and there are bodies, villains, women, empty bottles and red herrings scattered in all directions. A cracking good read.
Grave Walker - Thomas Blume Bk 5 - Written by PT Reade An ex-cop haunted by his past. A body with a message. 72 hours to find the truth...

What did I like? Here’s my loveable teddy bear that stills needs everything to be made ok for him. I just love this guy and it is a darn shame how much trouble he seems to get into. Just when he thinks that he thinks he has his past tied up the world explodes on him.
What will you like? Exhilarating action, remarkable characters, gripping twists and turns and unbelievable luck!!! In the next chapter of Thomas Blume's search for an ending to his misery, he is thrown into yet another gripping mystery and murder. With his race, he will take you down this incredible journey to keep you by his side until the last page! New York and its incredible life will come alive with this new battle! This enthralling fifth book in the Thomas Blume mystery series.
The author continues to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Thomas Blume is now back in New York to confront antagonist Roland Teach, who allegedly killed his family, but in order to face Teach, Blume must first work on a case involving the murder of his ex-girlfriend. As the narrative moves forward, you are sent on a fierce ride filled with some shocking surprises, temptation, distractions, terrorist threats, betrayal and how wealth, power, and influence are used to protect illicit activities, building up to an ending that will leave you gasping for air. Some of the complex and descriptive characters can be treacherous or deceptive, revealing a bogus charade, which makes the story even more spellbinding. The author knows how to keep you captivated in this action-packed tale.
Tom just needs some time with the man that took his life away from him. He needs to know why he family was killed and not him? He has a way in and just hopefully he can get the answers that he needs before it drives him insane. But there is a catch he has to help with a case of someone he knew and if this means that he gets his answers then he really has no other choice but to help. But Tom just can't seem to make friends and he doesn't play within the lines. And the more he digs into Darcey's life the stranger things become and he can't give up until he finds out all about the girls and their lives. He has come this far and now it is time for revenge or will he loses his chance again? A great thriller that keeps you turning those pages. I received a copy via the author through Librarythings.
I am indebted to the author and LibraryThing for providing me with a free Kindle version of this book to read and impartially review. This book grabs your attention from page one and maintains it to the end, well written atmospheric and descriptive, with a car chase shoot em up action sequence straight from a 'Bourne' film. There are some excellent characters and a few twists and turns to keep the reader guessing, and just when our hero seems about to come face to face with his nemesis a last minute shock to leave everything in the open, but I won't spoil it for my fellow readers. I do however heartily recommend this book
Now that I've finished all 5 Blume stories, I can honestly say that I LOVED every one of them! But this last one --- OMG! The suspense and mystery cleverly written on every page kept me reading all day. As I said before, I can see this series as a superb television series. Kudos P.T. Reade! I can't wait for number 6 and beyond!
Back in NYC to follow-up on information on the killer of his family, Blume gets involved in another case. This leads him into harms way, involving the mob and the twin of his ex . Big loud end to this one!
These are easy reads and enjoyable, good and likeable main character. They are mainly stand alone books but each book reveals a tiny bit more about his families deaths.
Grave Walker by, PT Reade Well, I will have to say that I am a little ticked off at the writer! I was going to just read a chapter before going to sleep but I couldn't stop reading it. It was soon light out! When I realized what time it was, I only had one chapter to go. So, now a week later, I am still trying to get my sleep schedule back on track! This book was fast-paced, engrossing, and intense! What an awesome crime noir piece. I do not know why PT Reade does not have a book contract yet! If a reader likes crime, suspense, or thrillers, this is the book for them! I can't wait to get to my next PT Reade book!
What a pleasant surprise - Grave Walker and the protagonist, Thomas Blume - a force to be reckoned with. If you enjoy Jack Reacher, Jack Noble, Michael Bennett, John Cory and Jesse McDermitt novels, then don't miss this series. They are all shrewd, well-trained, and get the job done.
Thomas Blume, a former NYPD detective retires to London and become as PI. He is still hunting the killer of his family and finally tracks him back to NYC after a year. His partner is still with the force but there's a stricter captain in charge now and Blume discovers that he'll not be able to cut corners and get information like in the past. The new captain is willing to work with Blume in exchange for him solving a murder, which happens to be his former girlfriend of ten years ago. Through his investigation, Blume crosses paths with the most notorious mobster in NY, who by the way, still has influence outside of prison and arranges a hit contract on Blume. While evading killers, Blume must also protect his former girlfriend's twin sister, who may have some answers to solve this case. But it becomes complex and things are not as they seem. Then discovering his cop friend may be on the take is just one more obstacle that Blume must overcome in finding the killer..
Grave Walker is non-stop from beginning to end. The story is well-written, keeps readers on the edge of their seats, and makes it difficult to put down. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Great job Mr. Reade!

A good one for me. This cop moves to London from New York after his wife and child was murdered. But then he was called back to New York to help them on a case. He also finds out Teach is in jail there and he is the one that Blume thinks killed his family. When he gets there he also finds out his old girlfriend was murdered , but they said it looked like suicide. But to many things didnt add up to him. She was a great person with a good job , doing well in life. She was found partially in the water with jewelry on and Darcy never wore jewelry for one odd thing. He was a cop that didnt really follow by the rules a lot of times so he did some checking out on his own. Got him in lots of trouble down the line - time after time. Toward the end of the story he is startled by finding Darcy. Wait wasnt she dead? Does he get back to question Teach at the precinct or is he already gone.
