Most people think referrals come from one of two ways – joining a leads based group where referrals are required, or doing good work and waiting for the referrals to come. There is another way. You can get more referrals without being pushy or passive. Referrals come consistently when you nurture relationships with the right people. The principles outlined in this book are quite simple. Small and simple things, done consistently can yield great results.
DEB L. BROWN writes stories that explore loyalty in marriage and faith in God when facing life’s challenges. A member of the American Christian Fiction Writers and Women’s Fiction Writers Association, her books handle heavy issues with a touch of humor. She’s mom to her five children and Graham Cracker to her grandchildren. She lives with her husband in Minnesota.
I really enjoyed this book about getting referrals and the right way to do it. One of my favorite parts was where Deb asks “Are you referable?”. Because how are people supposed to refer you to their friends and family if you didn’t do a good job for them? Or if you’re overpriced? Or you underdeliver? Things to think about as a business owner. Referrals come with making the customer happy and having them walk away saying “Wow, that was a great experience. No hassle, easy, and altogether pleasant. I will use that person again and tell people I know about him/her.” Read this book if you like getting business via word of mouth.
