Though it's an older book now, I felt this was a well researched and well written chronology of one of the founding families of Arizona. Having lived here since 2013, I was eager to read why/how the Goldwater family made their mark. This book does a good job telling the story, ending with Barry's second stint in the US Senate.

The author didn't do my favorite statesman justice. I did not realize that he did not run for Senate while running for president and waited until the next election cycle to run for Senate again.
