Went ahead and read the screenplay,"Body Heat: The Screenplay, by Lawrence Kasdan, after I enjoyed seeing the movie recently on TV.
The screenplay is set in Florida, and is definitely a classic, that combines lust, murder, betrayal, with a great set of characters.

The plot centers around a married rich woman who has a affair with a small-town lawyer, and convinces him to murder her husband, so that she can inherit all the money...and share it with her lover! But can they pull off this scheme? Body Heat was Kathleen Turner's first film and Kasdan's directorial debut.

This plot has been reinvented years later, in movies as "A Perfect Murder". I was totally involved in the outcome of the plot.

What a great screenplay. You can really tell the difference when you see a screenplay that's done well. It's not cluttered, the structure is perfect, and the characters come alive from the page. My only gripe is that I saw the end from a mile away. I've seen too many movies.
