This is a comprehensive and well researched look at the myths and folklore that were and are prevelant across Gwent and adjacent parts of the South Wales Valleys. The accounts are descriptive and capture the essence of the area and it was great to read about the origins of some of the stories I grew up with, as well as plenty that I didn't.

A decent anthology of the county's folklore, covering fairies, ghosts, witches, conjurers, and more. Material is taken from a wide range of sources.
