Sobre el verde valle, un sol caluroso estaba brillando, Dos conejos que ahí se encontraron estaban conversando, Iban a trabajar, había mariposas en cualquier lado, Dando la bienvenida al día, la primavera había llegado
Lovely bright pictures and a nice wise story make this a very attractive picture book. The story, told in poetry, is rhythmic and easily read, with a pleasing lesson encouraging children to look below the surface before they make their judgment calls. Certainly these rabbits, busy growing carrots, might have done well to think what was below the ground.
The text is quite small in this book – at least in the eversion I’m reading; it’s probably one to read with the kids, rather than one from which they’d learn to read. But, apart from some slightly distracting grammar issues, it’s a really fun animal tale with a great illustrations and nice wisdom.
Disclosure: I found a free copy and I’m offering my honest review.
My husband was just reading this to my daughter last night, for the millionth time!!! lol.
She loves it and last night was even explaining the lesson that is to be learned from this one to my husband. I love Sigal's books because they are colorful (a must for children), creative, and educational for children to learn about morals. I LOVE every book put out by this author and recommend it for nearly any child. I have read it to children in age range of 6 months to 5 years so it is a book that will be enjoyed by many ages of children boy or girl.
Bright pictures, comprehensive words - some with a bit of rhyme to them. Quirky animal characters ... What's not to like ? In this we are treated to a good sport-loser - a good example to share with children.
