Anyone with a poem called "Knut Hamsun's Night of Fire" has my undying devotion.

"Somewhere in this world I will understand my life." Ferrell's work is rustic and wound heavily in myth and history of times long past.

I wish I could think of intelligent things to say, rather than just making a list of my favorite poems. The collection holds together well as a whole and each individual poem is worthwhile, so there's not much more than you could hope for, really.

My favorites included three of the four poems titled "Myths of the Disappearance," "Nighttalking," "At the White Quay," "Eleven Steps to Breaking up a Hart," "Formation," What is the Night," and "Homecoming."
