The book consists of two stories (translations of the first two Magic Tree House books) and each was a fairly quick read (perhaps at the right reading level for me?). Plot-wise, there's a lot of running around without much actually happening, but it was still a fun read. I've heard the original English edition is littered with grammatical errors, but this Japanese translation seemed fine to me. A native speaker might think differently though.
