She’ll love him forever . . . but he can’t make her obey . . .

The war is over. Danger has passed. Cara Kayrs is healed after decades of illness and ready for a break.

Too bad her brooding, alpha vampire husband can’t seem to change gears. In their twenty-five years together Talen Kayrs has learned to sense every shiver of her body, to ignite her desire with a word or a look. She would think he could learn she’s not some fragile damsel in distress.

But Talen is on edge, watching their backs, treating her like she’s made of glass. Like there’s something following them, a deadly threat that somehow none of their intelligence has uncovered. It’s enough to drive a woman crazy, and Talen has plenty of those tendencies already.

But what’s even more maddening is that he seems to be right . . .

5 It's Talen Stars

It's Talen...... OMFG it fucking Talen. OMG OMG OMG I think I fainted for a minute there. I am absolutely bat shit crazy in love with Talen. So imagine my surprise and delight to find this awesome Talen novella at the end of Wicked Burn. Talk about losing my shit. First I yelled, squealed, and screech. Which caused my husband and kids to run into the room wondering if I was okay. And of course right as they walked in I was breaking out into a crazy fangirl happy dance while kissing(licking whatever) my kindle. That cause my husband to roll his eyes and smirk and my kids to start laughing. But it's cool cause Hello it's Talen!!!!!!

This short story was just so damn good. I truly loved every flippin' minute of it. Then I went back and reread it because.... Talen! I loved getting to catch up with Talen and Cara. Seeing them 25 years after their mating and seeing that their love is as strong as ever. Janie and little hope was in here too. Hope is so cute especially how she loves her grandpa Talen. That little girl has great taste! I really hope Hope(lol get it... hope Hope I'm a dork) gets her own book. I also loved all the Garrett time we got in this book. Talen is still as alpha as ever and it was fun how Cara challenged him. He is such a beast. But the best part of the whole novella, omg the part that had me laughing so hard tears fell from my eyes OMG so funny! Thank you Rebecca Zanetti for making this fan girl's week!

This short novel was written mainly for two reasons:

1. To revisit the first and the most popular couple in the Dark Protectors series after almost 25 years from their mating, i.e. Talen and Cara (Fated, Dark Protectors #1).
2. To connect the Dark Protectors series and the Realm Enforcers series which are taking place in the same fabulous world with the vampires, the demons, the shifters, the Kurjans, the witches and a really small number of humans.

To be honest, I read it as part of the book 'Wicked Burn (Realm Enforcers, #3), but this June will be released also as a standalone novel.

So Talen and Cara have
1. marriage problems:
“The answer to your teaching botany glasses at a human university is . . . no.”
because Cara does not want to be treated as a delicate little flower and Talen, after two children and one grandchild, is still the overprotective caveman that we all love.

2. survival problems
“We have demons on our asses. Get our location, and send backup. STAT.”
because some deadly demons are apparently after Cara and/or some important medical samples. And Cara does not follow Talon’s orders when they are in danger.

We will see again
-the friendly shifters who will come for help, i.e Terrent and Maggie and their pack (Twisted, Dark Protectors #5.5)
-the young, funny but lethal duo who is helping the Realm Enforcers, i.e. Logan the demon and Garrett the vampire (Cara and Talen’s son)
-vampire Max Petrovsky (Tempted, Dark Protectors #2.5)

Who are the Sadovskys group of demons out of Alaska and what they want from Cara? Maybe all this is a big misunderstanding.
Or not.

Super adventure, hot scenes between Talen and Cara, time synchronization between the Dark Protectors and the Realm Enforcers.
Mission accomplished!

Rebecca Zanetti hit all the right girly parts when she gave her readers the tall, dark and deadly, alpha-vampire at the beginning of the Dark Protectors series, and over the twenty-five years that the series covers to get to this novella, my love for the guy that blossomed from his first introduction in Fated has never waned, I don’t think it ever will.

The Realm is now supposedly at peace, and Talen and Cara decide its high time they take a little sun and relaxation in Hawaii, their journey to sun, sea and sexy-times as you would expect is anything but clear-cut, and this little novella gives the reader a further Kayrs adventure as well as giving you the opportunity to catch up with a few characters from the series.

"You should never run from a Vampire…"
"Why not?"
"We can’t help but chase…"

The chemistry between Talen and Cara is still there between them in spades, and I have to say reading this novella, made me want to go back to the beginning and read the series again.

"My soul is yours..."

If you are a fan of this series, you will not be disappointed, and like me I am pretty sure you will be left desperate for more from the Dark Protectors series as a whole, I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it.

Action packed and sexy. I love Rebecca Zanetti and I love novellas about past characters, so I pretty much loved getting an update on one of the most popular couple in the Dark Protectors series.

After decades of being sick, Cara Kayrs wants to take advantage of her newfound health and the fact that the war is now over, but her worrying vampire mate feels she’ll be exposing herself and that they still can’t be too careful. Can she convince him that she’s fine now and that after twenty-five years of being together, they should take some time to just relax?

Vampires love once and forever, and for Talen Kayrs keeping his mate safe is his first and most important priority. Especially when his senses tell him that there’s still a threat to them that no one else has picked up on. Can he protect his beloved even when she’s incapable of following orders and still be able to give her the freedom she craves?

Isn’t it great that we get an update on couple who’ve been together for 25 years and are still very much in love? That also means we get to see their children in action, in particular Garrett and his best friend Logan (demon), as well as lots of fast paced action sequences to go along with the all the sexy times.

Talen is novella #7.9 in the Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is a paranormal romantic suspense that links together the Dark Protectors and the Realm Enforcers. Told from both points of view.

Oh Talen... how I've missed you! This was such a nice treat, reading from the POV of Talen and Cara again was a blast from the past.

This was a great novella with tons of action and steam. Plus we get tons of cameo's from some of the other characters from the previous books. Definitely recommend if you are a fan of the Dark Protectors series!

This story is the book that bridges the gap between the Dark Protectors series and it's off shoot the Realm Enforcers. The author has done an amazing job because she's gone back to the beginning with longtime fan favourite Talen and his mate Cara. A lot has happened in the past twenty years or so since they met and now they have two children and one very cute granddaughter. There's finally peace between the Vampires and the Demons but perhaps not everyone is pleased. Could it be that racial purists will still want to rage war and if so what or who will be their targets? Talen and Cara are charged with delivering genetic material that could hold so many answers but their journey is about to get derailed . Could anything else go wrong?
This for me was a joy to read as I'm a long time fan of this series although I should point out that this story was previously published in Wicked Ride although honestly rereading it was no hardship! What stands out here is not just the fact that it's a short adventure but the relationship between the couple and how the dynamics have changed now that a cure has been discovered. Talen is used to viewing Cara as weak and fragile but she's still the woman he fell in love with caring, competent and perhaps more stubborn than he likes! Seeing them adjust and connect in such a way was fabulous but the author also gives her readers plenty of fun along with the steam. So pair up an uber protective Vampire with a woman who is anything but meek and mild and watch the sparks fly as this couple combust!

Talen & Cara's 2nd story:

I loved getting an update on Talen and Cara. They were our first couple in the series and one of my favorites, so it was fun seeing them again after the war is over. I think it's funny that the author stirred up trouble even in their time of peace that brought several of the characters from previous books back for this short novella. I love theses characters and really hope Rebecca Zanetti has more in store for all of them. Fantastic read!

Overall series review: Fun, fast paced PNR series. Great storyline, characters and suspense. Insta-love, mates for life, possessive Alphas and grotesque evil foes. There are Vampires, Shifters, witches, Demons and more. This is a continued storyline focusing on a different couple per book.

A quick, entertaining, and intense jaunt into the Dark Protector world. Just when you really get into Cara's excursion into dangerous world she's been protected from since her mating to Talen ends way to soon for me. I really wished it was longer...what can I say, I eat up every story from the Dark Protector world and TALEN Kayrs story was no different.

It was great to see Cara show what she is made of outside the lab with her son and her husband by her side and boy does Cara and her husband know how to set the pages on fire even after all these years of mating.

ARC provided by NetGalley and Publisher for an honest review.

What a hot, sweet, short read with these two characters from the first couple of the series and now twenty years later.

We have their children and grandchildren in this story as well as what's transpired between the Demon's and Vampires.

The two in this novel go on a journey to deliver genetic material. During the trip we are given a glimpse into their relationship and how it's evolved over the years as well as how they have grown as individuals as well as a couple. Of course it's not a smooth journey and we have some fun surprises along the way. How could you not with a hot Alpha and a strong and beautiful heroine.

Very enjoyable short read. Well done story line as well as the characters depth for a novella.

I will never get tired of this series. Unfortunately, the vampires, demons and shifters have found peace. Oops, I mean, Yay! The Realm is at peace! So when Talen and Cara run into all kinds of attacks as they attempt to deliver tissue samples that are to be used in the research of unmating vampires, their vacation looks like it’s going to be postponed. There is also the little problem they’re having of finding a happy balance now that their daily lives do not revolve around war anymore.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this novella full of action and adventure even as Talen and Cara communicate through plenty of nonverbal conversations. As always, Talen (my favorite by the way although Max is a close second) is one big, strong, and intense alpha vampire and nothing is going to harm his woman, even the decisions the little lady in question makes herself.

Thank you Ms. Zanetti for an awesome bridge between The Dark Enforcers Series and The Realm Enforcers Series.

ARC REVIEW

Talen is a novella that first appeared in the back of Wicked Burn. It is an expansion of the Dark Protectors series (7.9!!!) to help tie in the Realm Enforcers and the Dark Protectors series. Now confession time.... Talen isn't my favorite, I know I will gladly drool over the Jason Mamoa look of him but he is really just way to overprotective and spankings are not a punishment (my opinion, especially when the recipient enjoys them, it's like positive reinforcement for bad behaviour and never use sex to manipulate). I love Cara, she is strong and such a great character and believes that with their advanced technologies they should help the mortal world along a little; now with the war over she wants to teach. Talen is his regular overbearing self and doesn't want Cara exposed to any danger.

Before they head off for their well deserved vacation Talen and Cara need to make a quick drop off at the lab so they can have more intensive work done on the virus that negated the mating bond. On the way they are attacked by a mercenary group of demons, after they get rid of one group the shifter help them continue on the rest of the journey, accompanied now by Garrett and Logan. As it is prone to happen in these stories it doesn't go easy for them and Talen and Cara end up in a big fight.

Overall, the story was good, I just didn't care for the interplay between Cara and Talen. And P.S. I want more Terrent and Maggie!

Another great novella! Rebecca is one of my top favorite paranormal authors and her Dark Protector series as well as her Realm Enforcer series. Two series that I never get tired of re-reading over and over.

I think that Talen and Cara started it all. With two kids grown and the war over and Cara now cured Cara is up to spreading her wings yet again. Talen always in protective mode is against it but his will-full wife will have her way.

What started out as a simple task turned into a misadventure for the two but something that totally brought back something exciting and some extra spice into their love life. Not that their love life is suffering in anyway but with Cara no longer sick she wants Talen to stop treating her with kid gloves. She wants the fire and heat and for him not to hold
himself back she wants to experience the real dominate dangerous male he truly is.

Well let me say the gloves are off and Cara is feisty as ever. Talen is in for it now.The love between this couple has always been truly something and I am glad to see things have never changed.I have always loved the chemistry this couple have for one another they always seem to create heat and fire by even being in the same room together.

A cute story of a test of wills and how one handles the dominate deadly protective vampire who needs to let go and trust that his wife is capable of taking care of herself.

I loved seeing Cara and Talon rekindle things again.I loved the fact their still in love more then ever.I loved the fact that Talon made sure just who Cara belonged to by remarking her all over again.A Swoon worthy moment once again and a fee ooh's and uh's.... from us
(smiles)

I will never get tired of reading about this two and it was nice to read about them again they are one of my top favorite couples in this series.

I hope will be seeing more of this couple again in the future as Cara talking about having more children so perhaps their will be yet another story about them.

As always we love seeing the other characters we have read about gracing the pages of this story as well as we love them also. And Dage he always makes me laugh got to love him!

Loved it from cover to cover!

OK, true confession, I marked this book as 'Want to Read' in Goodreads and when I saw it available on NetGalley I leaped at the opportunity to read it, but i'm not sure why. It's a novella in a series I haven't read, it takes place some time after the seventh book and concerns characters with rich back stories. The good news is that it was fairly easy to pick up the context of this novella.

Cara Paulson Karys is a human empath mated to a vampire, Talen Karys. She has been ill for a very long time and Talen has become used to her being fragile. She is finally cured, the long war against (I think) the demons is over and they should be relaxing and enjoying life. The trouble is that Talen is the biggest, baddest vampire out there and he takes alpha male to a new level. Cara wants to spread her wings a little, maybe teach botany classes at a local university but Talen won't hear of it.

So, having tried to start this series once I know that it is full of big, bossy, dominant vampires who protect their mates (it's all kind of Black Dagger Brotherhood-style vampires) with plenty of haut sex and this novella isn't any different.

I was intrigued by the blurb, how does a married couple, with adult children, adapt to a life in peacetime after two decades of war? How does a warrior learn to step back and stop barking orders? Well the truth is he doesn't really, he gets his own way by dominating his mate sexually until she agrees to submit to his orders.

This was both more and less than I expected/ hoped. Maybe if I had read any of the seven previous novels I would better appreciate Talen's emotional journey and realise what a big change he has made. As it was, I felt that Cara tried to express some independence and was overruled.

Probably more suited to people who have read the series.

I received a free copy of this novella from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I loved the Dark Protectors series and any chance to get one more story from that world was good enough to get me excited.

Now, Talen, is technically not a new release. It was originally a bonus novella in the back of one of the spin-off Realm Enforcers series. Talen is a bridge story between the two series and reads best after the end of Dark Protectors and fits just as the other series is getting under way.

I got so excited to see this was a fun Talen and Cara story. Twenty-five years after they become a mated couple, they are still a fun pair to read about. Talen is still a dominant, pushy vampire and Cara is still doing her level best to teach him a thing or two about strong, spirited females. They are supposed to be headed out on their first vacation alone since the war and Cara's illness is over, but nothing is ever simple or easy for the Kayrs family.

Loved this exciting peek-in with Talen and Cara and a few other series regulars for a great cross-over story that may be novella length, but its developed and complete. If you're a fan of action-packed passionate paranormal romance, but haven't read the Dark Protectors, take a gander at those and prepare for a good time.

I rec'd this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

4 Talen-loving stars!

As a mad fan of the Dark Protectors series, I was so happy to pick up this novella, which takes us back to the couple that started it all – Talen and Cara. This is definitely not a standalone, and takes place after book #7, Marked, so be warned that this review will be a bit spoilery for the series.

The war is over. Talen and Cara have both faced death and illness which has defined their 25 years together, and now that they are both finally healthy it’s time for them to rediscover each other all over again.

Cara is wanting to explore her immortality. She feels that she has so much to offer, and she’s ready to find her place in the world. But Talen is a huge alpha, and not only that, he is the strategic genius of the Realm and he expects to be obeyed. Cara’s feisty spirit is part of what made him fall for her, and now that she is well and wanting to get back out in the world, Talen is having trouble reigning in the over-protective beast inside of him that wants to treat his mate like she is fragile.

The book begins with Talen and Cara taking a trip together. A quick stop for Realm business, and then on to Hawaii to spend some time together. But things don’t go according to plan, and they find themselves the target of an attack which pushes Talen’s protective instincts into overdrive, triggering a much-needed confrontation between these two as they figure out their way forward.

“I love you, you know,” she said slowly.
“I know. You’re everything to me,” he said softly.

It’s a beautiful journey for Talen and Cara, and I just love how crazy in love they still are. After more than 20 years together (in less-than-ideal circumstances) their love and passion for each other is just as intense as it always has been – possibly even more so. The sex is absolutely sizzling, and the strong emotional connection between them only adds to the intensity – especially when Talen flexes his dominance, taking his conflict resolution ‘skills’ into the bedroom.

“You should never run from a vampire, baby,” he whispered.
Her sex clenched. “Why not?” she breathed.
“We can’t help but chase, and when we catch, we’re not gentle.”

I loved catching up with these characters that I love so much. This series is really inclusive of all of the characters that have featured so they’ve always been a part of the story, but I loved being right back in their lives and seeing them so happy together. You can feel the bond between them, and I love how functional they are, knowing that they are together forever and just making it happen.

“My soul is yours, baby.”

The involvement of Garrett and Logan was a definite bonus. I love those two, and can only hope that they get their own books as the series progresses.

I loved this novella. It’s fast-paced, exciting, romantic, and super sexy. The action is great as always, though I thought the resolution of the danger element was a bit anti-climactic. But the focus of this book is the further development of Talen and Cara’s relationship, and that is beautifully explored.

A great addition to the series. 4 stars.

(This novella is included as a bonus in 'Wicked Burn (Realm Enforcers, #3), but is also available to purchase separately.)

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 6, 2017

But what’s even more maddening is that he seems to be right

•••••••••

NOTE: TALEN was originally released as a bonus novella in Rebecca’s WICKED BURN (Realm Enforcers #3). If you have not read book seven of the Dark Protectors series-MARKED-there may be some spoilers in TALEN and my review.

REVIEW: TALEN by Rebecca Zanetti is installment 7.9 in the author’s DARK PROTECTORS paranormal romance series and revisits the original Dark Protectors couple Talen and Cara Kayrs. TALEN can be read as a stand alone but for cohesion and backstory I recommend reading the series in order as the story line picks up following the events of book seven-MARKED:

SOME BACKGROUND: The Kayrs family rules not only the vampire nation, but also the Realm, which is a coalition of vampires, shifters, and witches. Years ago, an evil vampire race called the Kurjans declared war on the Realm by creating a deadly virus that infects vampire mates. The virus attacks chromosomal pairs and takes mates from immortal to human, potentially leading to death.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Talen and Cara) TALEN revisits vampire warrior Talen Kayrs, and his mate of twenty five years Cara Paulsen-Kayrs. Now that the war is over, another danger threatens our leading couple. With the cure for the virus found, Cara and Talen have been tasked with transporting some important samples to a research lab but the Demons have targeted our couple for reasons unknown. As Talen and Cara battle the demons, they are also facing the wildfires that are growing out of control. What ensues are Cara and Talen’s attempts to stay clear of the demons while Talen struggles to protect his mate-a woman who is determined to protect those she loves.

TALEN is a story line that reconnects with many of Rebecca’s paranormal series and story lines characters and couples with the appearance of Logan (vampire/demon hybrid), and Cara and Talen’s son Garrett (Realm Enforcers), and their daughter Janie Kayrs (Dark Protectors/Marked): Max Petrovsky ( Dark Protectors/Tempted); and shifters Terrent and Maggie (Dark Protectors /Twisted). The seamless interconnection between series allows the readers a second look at some of our favorite characters.

TALEN is a short, sexy, action packed novella. The premise is entertaining and spicy; the characters are familiar, passionate and colorful; the romance continues to be seductive and hot. TALEN is a must read for fans of Rebecca’s DARK PROTECTORS and REALM ENFORCERS series.

Alors, bonne lecture ? 📖 Ou pas !

I am a huge fan of Ms Zanetti, and have read all of the' Dark Protector' series. As a matter of fact it is one of my all time favorite paranormal reads. This book I really enjoyed because Talen and Cara are my favorite characters within this series. It is great novella about how Talen and Cara go on after the war is over. Now that Cara is no longer sick with the virus, she needs for Talen to break his over protective nature and allow her to live a life she feels she needs. It has some of our favorite characters making a brief appearance in this novella. Enjoyed it a great deal.

So hooked on this couple and this series.

Cara is so excited to go on a trip with Talen after being sick for so long and the war. Talen, not so much! But they need to get her samples to a lab before they go on to Hawaii. The trip though is filled with surprises for everyone and may not be all it's supposed to be.

Action filled with hot sex and funny moments. Loved it!

After years of war Cara Kayrs is feeling better and with her Vampire husband Talen Kayrs in tow, she departs for a trip that should be met without danger. Cara is thrilled to be spending time with Talen and out from the protection of the Dark Protectors but not everything goes as planned and she becomes a target.

If you read the fist book in this series than you know this couple. They are one of my all time favorite couples and this was another delightful read about them. Had several of my favorites that made appearances in the short story. One of the best series out there.

This short story was a nice slice of life into the lives of Talen, Kara, and their children, Garrett and Janie. Little Hope, now 18 months, is just adorable. I was hoping to see Janie's mate, Zane, make and appearance but it was still wonderful to touch base with this beloved couple.

Kara is pushing for more independence since the war is over and she is no longer infected with the virus. Talen is still too possessive and hovering. I wished the story focused more on their relationship growing pains and a better resolution rather than with a bunch of sex scenes. The violent engagement with the purist demons could have been avoided had the vampires acted immediately following the truce...making the virus cure publically available. The demons had no intent to harm, they were desperately looking for a cure for the mate virus, but the vampires typically responded with deadly force. Still, it was nice to revisit with Talen again and the novella was a very satisfying read.

I liked it.
But I didn't love it.
In fact, it was a bit boring.

Could have been so much better.

There are some problems in the flow of the read.
Most of it felt 'Contrived' & lacked spontaneity.

I was definitely disappointed.

Not a bad read.
Not a good read.

Mediocre.

I am a fan of Ms Zanetti's Sin Brothers and Scorpious Syndrome series. I liked the cover of Talen and decided to give it a try. I know this is way into her Dark Protectors series, but I enjoyed it just the same. I love this paranormal world she crafted with vamps, demons and weres. There has been a long time war, so why didn't they finally feel some peace? Loved Cara and Talen and the action was non-stop. Now I have to start with this Dark Protectors series and I am not complaining!

Let me begin with I have not read any of Dark Protectors series. I keep meaning to since I really enjoy Rebecca Zanetti's books, especially her Realm Enforcers series. I know this story was previously published in Wicked Ride, which I did read, but at the time, I passed on reading this added story. When, once again, this novella popped up on my radar, I said why not. It's combining a series I knew with one I wanted to know. So I went for it.

Oh man, what have I missed! I really liked Talen and Cara. It's hard to imagine she was ill and weak because she is a very strong woman...one could almost say stubborn. More than enough to handle Talen. As for Talen, strong, protective, yummy. I'm not too sure what the war was about but it looks like it was between the vampires and demons. Whatever it was about it's over and Talen is having problems relaxing. Looks like he has a good reason. Something is following them, attacking them but who and why?

What a great introduction to a series I've been wanting to read. It's got action, romance and made for a great teaser for me. I'm discovering Talen and Cara well past their initial courtship and now all I want to do is read about them from the beginning. I can tell it must have been a interesting dance they had. Now as this is a book that ties to series together, one that I am familiar with, it has a couple of familiar faces: Garrett and Logan. They are great fighters but their antics and dialog always make me giggle.

If you haven't read Talen before, you're in for a real treat. If you have, then enjoy it again. Either way, Talen is a great bonus read. Fans of Ms. Zanetti are going to love it. I know I did.

I received this book from The JeepDiva prior to release with the express purpose of an honest review. The opinions, contents, and rating of this review are solely mine.

Talen by Rebecca Zanetti
Dark Protectors #7.9
Realm Enforcers novella 3.?

The author mentions in a note at the beginning of this novella that she wanted to write a crossover novella linking her Dark Protector and Realm Enforcer series together. After asking her Facebook street gang who they would like to hear about in a novella linked to Wicked Burn two names dominated – Talen & Cara – so this is the story she wrote. Not having rea any of the Dark Protectors series but having read all of the Realm Enforcers series I was curious to find out more about the series I have not read. So, when made available on NetGalley I requested a copy, received one, read it and now will review. I will say that Talen is a heartthrob alpha male for many in the street gang so can see why he and his mate were chosen for a novella.

With peace for all humans and other it is time for a road trip to take lab samples from one location to another. Talen and Cara are in charge and plan to take a vacation to Hawaii once they drop off the cooler with the items being shared. Of course a peaceful journey is not what they get and instead there are demons on their trail that want the samples and seem willing to do just about anything to get the cooler. Friendly werewolves are called in for assistance, children of Talen and Cara’s children make an appearance (as do others in the series I have not read) and eventually the culprits are exposed and dealt with in a positive manner before the trip to Hawaii can occur.

This was fun story and no doubt will be even more fun for those who have read the Dark Protectors series because they can catch up with Talen & Cara, their children and a few others while also being introduced to Rebecca’s new series – if they have not already started to read it.

Advanced Readers Copy Courtesy of Netgalley....:)

Anytime I get to go back to this world, I am so excited as this is one of the best series I have ever read. I love the Dark Protectors series and since the series started with Talen himself.....he will always hold a special place in my heart. I first read this novella at the end of Wicked Burn a while ago, but was super happy to go back and read it again.....

I loved this short and sweet little novella about Talen and Cara that takes places after the war is ended and life is getting back to normal....well as normal as it can for a vampire and his human mate!!!

I especially loved seeing some of the wolf shifters again, as well as Garrett and Logan.... (man I cant wait for their stories).....

This was action packed from start to finish, with of course some sexiness from our man Talen....super fast, super hot, super awesome read.....:)

Talen is heach honcho, the man doesn't want his woman doing anything, "he growled low then . . . six and a half feet of pure male, stubborn vampire. “The answer to your teaching botany glasses at a human university is . . . no.” Thhe man is so over protective, “the next guy who touches you, I get to hit.” Talen took the bag from her and turned them both. “Scratch that. Nobody ever touches you again but me. Yeah. That’s the deal.” This was a quick read, but I really loved it Talen took protectiveness to the next level when it came to Cara, and Cara was not a meak, mild little thing the girl does what's right even if it upsets Talen.
