Have you ever wanted to know more about fishing, boating, and local water wildlife? In the book, Hook Line and Seeker Jim Arnosky take us on a journey throughout this guide all about the waters. Throughout the book of Hook Line and Seeker (HLS), Jim gives us a good insight into the basic of fishing and what to look for. In this book, you are able to learn about all the different types of fish from saltwater to freshwater and how to identify them. While also telling us how to catch these fish with the various fishing rods that are out there. He gives us tips on how to use and identify different types of boats. These boats have many different resources on them and knowing what to have on them and how to use and operate certain types of boat is key for you to be able to handle any situation. I would definitely recommend this book to any beginner fishers or people who just want more insight on all this aquatic. I think fishermen would also enjoy this book because there are other stories from Jim's personal experience that may relate to experiences that they have had. Overall I liked how there was a lot of things you can learn about from this book that you may have never known about.
I didn't think this book was very helpful. Most of the book was about stories of his own stories and as a person who likes to fish in a lake and with a bait casting real this didn't give me the advice I needed. But I still think if anyone wants to learn different types of wildlife and how to fly fish this book can be very helpful. I liked how he described the differences between dorsals and tails. He also put in many different types of birds or dangerous animals and sea life. Some of the dangerous animals and sea life included sea urchins, snapping turtles, Moray eel, Barracuda, alligator, cottonmouth moccasins and fire coral. I think that this was a good book meant mostly for boaters and fly fisherman.
I thought this book was really good! i like the fact that it is about all types of fishing, which i LOVE FISHING!! but it told about alot of experience with his fishing life. recommend this book to everyone..
