Malachi English #2

A Mage's Fall: Dark Manhattan

Rate this book
Malachi's back in Manhattan ..but so, unfortunately, is something else

Malachi’s back in Manhattan after saving humanity, not that anyone seems overly bothered about that. Still, hopefully things can get back to normal.

No chance. First off, his girlfriend’s joined a cult, but that soon becomes the least of his worries. Because someone or something is picking off the Aware, leaving their bodies torn open and desecrated.

But even that’s not the worst of it. Something dark from Malachi’s past has resurfaced. And if he can’t deal with it, can’t stop it, then New York won’t ever be the same again. Now it’s just a question of whether he can hang on to his soul long enough to make his move.

I'm a writer living in Rochester, in the UK. I mostly work with urban and dark fantasy, but keep your eyes out for some roaming into sci-fi in the future.

On the whole, I'm boringly normal. One wife, two kids, two cats and no talent whatsoever on the guitar.

It'd be great to hear from you, so message me or ask a question here, or visit the website at www.andyhyland.net

While you're there, make sure you sign up for the Aware mailing list. It'll give you exclusive access to short stories which add to the world of the novels and give you a better idea of what's going on. I'll also be able to keep you up to date on new releases and any offers. It's all free. What are you waiting for?

Good Stories...

But an editor is desperately needed. In both books, words are misused throughout, especially the word "round" instead of "around"... Please find someone to proof your work... This series has great potential.

Getting Stronger

The series took a big step in the 2nd book: stronger plot, better drawn characters, and a more well-structured fantasy ecosystem world. The email do of Book 2 left many clues and unsolved issues for the future. I look forward to Book 3.
