Your Inner Fire is the vital energy within you, the unseen force that gives life to your being. Perhaps because this energy can't be measured in a lab, many people live without any idea of its existence, or the importance of tending to it. In this groundbreaking book, best-selling author HeatherAsh Amara introduces you to the fundamentals of your Inner Fire, and explains how the four major aspects of your being--the mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical--all interact with this powerful energy. Amara teaches that when you view these four aspects through the lens of your Inner Fire, you can radically change how you think, feel, and live in the world. In these pages, you'll find practices, meditations, and explorations to put the concepts to work in your life. By tending to your Inner Fire, you will learn how Learning how to tend your Inner Fire in a world that is constantly trying to hook your attention is a challenge--but this book invites you to take new perspective on who you are and how you relate to the world.
Amara has spent the last three decades weaving together earth-based wisdom, mindfulness, and practical strategies for creative, courageous, and compassionate individual and community change. She is the author of 9 books, including the bestselling Warrior Goddess Training series and The Seven Secrets of Happy and Healthy Relationships with don Miguel Ruiz Jr.
Her newest book, Wild, Willing, and Wise: An Interactive Guide for When to Paddle, When to Rest, and When to Jump Naked into the River of Life will be released July 30th through St. Martin's Essentials.
When she’s home, HeatherAsh plants her feet in New Mexico but as a lifelong nomad, she spends most of her time traveling, teaching, and writing in cafes around the world.
I have read a couple books by this author and for some reason I didn't enjoy this one like the others and I'm not sure why that is. But I also didn't do every "homework" she gave, so maybe that's it? I look forward to her next book!
Not bad though perhaps a little on the tedious side, perhaps would have been better broken up with images and more bullet points. Good ideas though and good to help with self-esteem and working some calmness and positiviness into your life.
Another great book from the original Warrior Goddess. This one explores what she calls Inner Fire. The thing that is your true work, what you are meant to embody in everything that you do. Once you figure out what your Inner Fire is, this book helps stoke it and keep it burning brightly. While the concept sounds rather new age-y and woo-woo, it can be more simply summed up as finding what lights you up then doing it. If you’ve ever felt like you aren’t living up to your full potential, that something just isn’t quite right, this book could help bring back the spark (Inner Fire) that has been smoldering instead of burning.
HeatherAsh has presented a maturation of her life work/study here (advance from goddess training). It is presented in a very gentle, accessible way. The drawback to me is that this book is broad rather than deep. I would have liked her to go into each chapter of the book in a much deeper way. I facilitated a book circle with this book that went well, but the general consensus was the same. I did her 30 day "boot camp" when the book was released, which provided some interesting compliments to the book and that I presented with the book circle.
I purchased this book after I went to a workshop lead by HeatherAsh Amara. Her spirit felt so in line with my own and I was searching for some guidance.
This book is great! Simple, yet not condescending; uplifting but not lofty. I gleaned many useful practices from her work and found many of her ideas resonate deeply with me. It has certainly shaped my already established mindfulness practice for the better. I look forward to rereading it down the road and know that I will learn new, helpful things each time I tuck into the easy to read book.
I thought from the title this book would be of some help. But no. This is written by a frustrated burnt out person... To my big surprise I saw a praise by Don Miguel Ruiz on the cover.. I read thru the book quickly. What waste of time! It is unfortunate that things like this get even published. But when you see that the guy who 'wrote a book about his big feet' proving the fake book industry...
I recommend this book to anyone interested in: Transformation, Empowerment and Taking-Care. These are the words at the center of our Inner Fire and its relation with our True Work. They resonate within me helping my Inner Fire burn and share its light.
I listened to this audio book and it's a quickie. It could be review for anyone who's read other Heatherash writings. I will likely re-read/re-listen mostly because it helps me remember some important lessons. If you appreciate the Toltec philosophy and the Don Miguel Ruiz work with the Four/Five Agreements, this will speak to you.
Awaken Your Inner Fire is the forth and inspiring piece I’ve read by HeatherAsh Amara. It’s a good read for those who have fallen off their path, whose inner fire needs stoking, and forgotten how wonderful life is if you remember to Be.

I wasn't expecting too much from this book. I like spirituality, but most books on this subject are too woolly for me. This book was rather nice. It gave me some nice pointers and although the stanza part wasn't for me, I enjoyed it overall.
A guide to inner peace. Accept who you are, what you can accomplish, patience, acceptance, peace, and patience again and always. Reading this book brought me joy.
I enjoyed this book. Great time in my life to be reminded to care for my energy and stoke the embers of my inner fire. Another great resource from HeatherAsh.
5 stars for what it is - a very gentle & inspiring & systematic way to start paying attention to how The Spirit (in whatever form you believe it takes) shows up & can influence your life, if you let it.
Elementary for some is foundational for others. This may not be for everyone, but it might CHANGE THE WORLD of some others. There is a place for this book (in my case audiobook). Even for someone who’s heard & lives a lot of these concepts- it’s ALWAYS good to refocus. The author gives some wonderful images about the fire inside us.
Great reminder that there are options about how we live this short life. The most important thing is to make your choice a deliberate one.
