Chris Wooding grew up in a small town in Leicestershire, where not much of anything happened. So he started to write novels. He was sixteen when he completed his first. He had an agent by eighteen. By nineteen he had signed his first book deal. When he left university he began to write full-time, and he has been doing it professionally all his adult life.
Now thirty-nine, Chris has written over twenty books, which have been translated into twenty languages, won various awards and been published around the world. He writes for film and television, and has several projects in development.
Chris has travelled extensively round the world, having backpacked all over Europe and North America, Scandinavia, South East Asia, Japan and South Africa. He also lived in Madrid for a time. When he wasn’t travelling on his own, he spent his twenties touring with bands and seeing the UK and Europe from the back of a van.
He also learned not so long ago that his family tree can be traced back to John Milton, author of Paradise Lost, which has no bearing on him whatsoever but it’s kind of interesting anyway.
V glavnem nostalgija hit the target al neki :) .
The nostalgia trip has reached it's destination. Glad I embarked on it, as this series was one of my favorites when I was a kid. And I feel like it still holds up when reading as an adult. Need to give other books by the author a try.
I'm almost sorry to see this series end. I liked the way it did, even though victory came at an enormous cost, and I think many of the characters showed their true colours.
I'd be interested to see more with these characters and how they evolved, but I really enjoyed this series. It was sad what happened to Takami, but I think it all ended the only way it could have done.
I was glad to see Kia finally able to let go of her rage and hate and allow herself to fall in love again. It was also good to see her and Ryushi reform their relationship, even though they're not as tightly bonded as they used to be.
The twins are united and team up to fight the final battle that'll determine the future for all their friends and loved ones.
The entire series is an incredibly light read probably aimed for kids aged 10 and above. But adults can have as much fun with it, if this seems right up your street ;)
Now THIS is epic! Absolutely everything I can say will be a spoiler, so I shall say nothing at all except that putting down this book is extremely difficult.
