Found this photobook while searching for gifts for one of my photography enthusiast friend, got one copy for myself too. I really liked how easy-to-carry it's, unlike most photobooks. Also, it's limited edition which makes it worth buying with additional loose prints which can be framed, let your imagination do the rest.

Darwaze - open the doors and you get the freedom to access the journey undertaken by photographer, Udit Kulshrestha, across the length and breadth of the country from 2008-2014. This photobook is the doorway to the colors and cultural diversity of India, each image vividly invites one to wonder at the stories hidden behind this compilation of doors, some inviting, some hiding behind ominous locks, some decaying yet withstanding the tolls of time, some freshly painted ones, yet each one of them intriguing and mysterious in their own right.

A limited edition, must-have collectible, the book is in an easy to handle size and snuggled safely in a colorful hardcover slip case. The bonus are the 8 complimentary post cards that are a keepsake and can add color to your room, walls, tabletop - just need to open the doors to your own creative outlet.

What I found appealing is that the book and its contents go beyond the traditional coffee table book format and its easy to engage in multiple conversations and creative outlooks around and beyond it. A book whose images you can keep returning to and yet take back something new with each visit.
