Hard Shelter

Rate this book
Burning hot desire and unquenchable love might just bridge the gap between a bad boy billionaire, a brilliant artist and a hard working woman.

Lochmann McCaughey, a sexy street artist, needs more than a roof over his head; he needs a lucky break. But his attraction to the manager of The Healing Hut shelter is an unexpected development for a guy who got kicked out of the family home for being gay. Zoe Willis is far too smart and too beautiful to be interested in him. So, why can’t he convince her of that?

Zoe Willis has a heart of gold to match her rose-colored glasses. Unfortunately, she has no head for business, and she’s running her late father’s homeless shelter into the ground. She needs a bail-out from sexy celebrity benefactor, Daxton Kerr, who can’t seem to keep his hands off her or Loch. The situation intensifies when a close working relationship with both men develops into so much more. While she may be reaching new heights of sexual satisfaction with the bad boy and the artist, she may also be losing focus of the task at hand.

Hollywood bad boy actor Daxton Kerr is only out to rejuvenate his failed career. A famous bad boy with a history of breaking hearts and forgetting names, Dax is filming a documentary of his transformation of The Healing Hut, and he has plans for the place that don’t necessarily include providing shelter for the poor. He’s in it to help himself. Dax knows audiences love a good villain, but falling for Zoe and Loch could get in the way of his ability to use them for his own gain. The last thing this millionaire alpha male wants to do is develop true feelings for two lovers, but he may not be able to avoid it.

Three drastically different people from three totally different walks of life are in for the ride of their lives as they find emotional fulfillment and the most intense sexual connection of their lives in this spicy hot novel from bestselling author Nicole Stewart!

Hard Shelter is a very steamy, ultra high heat standalone bisexual menage romance with explicit MF, MM and MMF scenes and a not-to-be-missed HEA ending!

NO STARS

The worst MMF behavior I've ever read. I've heard of GFY...but SFY is what's all over this.

H1 - movie star - bisexual, never has vaginal sex with the h during the ENTIRE BOOK. He's too busy only fucking H2 from behind to get in on the h. I'm guessing this was an oversight by the author. There is only one threesome where H1 even gets his dick near the h (anal), although she's given him head a couple times. He has sex with H2 several times without h present...and there are times during their threesomes where I feel the h is a completely unwanted third wheel. At their reunion, before they commit to each other, H1 says he plans to move to where H2 lives...no fucking mention of the h and he doesn't greet her as intimately as H2 and kisses H2 first. I just could never ever believe his interest in the h.

H2 - homeless artist - gay, never been with a woman before. Has 2 MF sex scenes with the h and starts to seriously dig pussy. H1 never has sex alone with the h. H2 seems to really care for her deeply, much more than H1 ever comes across as caring for her.

h - homeless shelter owner - sweet, semi-innocent falls for both H's seems the most distraught at the initial break up of their threesome but gets into a committed relationship with ANOTHER MAN during the 6 month separation.

THE SEX WAS TERRIBLE.

THE PLOT WAS HORRIBLE.

THE WRITING WAS FORGETTABLE.

Waste of time.

*****5 Shelter Me Stars*****

Nicole Stewart is, by far, my favorite menage author and she changed it up a little with Hard Shelter. This is the story of Loch, a homeless street artist, Zoe, a woman with a heart of gold, but no head for business, and Dax, an actor whose celebrity is sinking fast. This one brought out all of the feels and emotions that left me drained, but in a good way! Nicole is one of the only menage authors who really gives the reader a true representation of MFM, MM, and MMF, which satisfies my intense imagination!

1-click this steamy, emotional story by the fabulous Nicole Stewart!

I received this book for an honest review. I loved the idea of this book, a woman who owns a homeless shelter struggling to keep it open, a hot homeless artist just trying to get a break and a gorgeous child movie star trying to get back in the business. Zoe, Loch and Dax all know that there is something between them, finally giving in they share a one time night together but can one night be enough for them. There was good character development but I didn't think it was as hot as other books I have read by this author, more love story than spicy.

I'm a huge fan of Nicole Stewart's menage romances, as they all bring a little something different with each story. This story definitely didn't disappoint in the storyline, the character development, and the progression of the story. You never know what to expect in her stories, and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the tangents that developed in this story.

I received a ARC from the for an honest review.

Two is better then one

Zoe was struggling to keep her families homeless shelter operating, that's why she need to here out Dax- he'd invest and assume ownership. Meeting Loch was perfectly timed, as he needed a place to stay while he continued to busk his art.

Known knew that they'd make the perfect match for each other until their careers took off. But then love wasn't the focus anymore. What they had was just short lived...

I liked the story. Each finding what they were missing. Each working to better themselves and their careers. Zoe trying to keep the shelter going. It was steamy- although a little hard to picture with the description at times.
Hallmark sweet.

Especially enjoyed the epilogue.

Wow, your lovely sex scenes are so vivid and real....its really some of the most vivid I've ever read!! It helps when you really like the characters too!! This was a really well rounded.....never got to far off in any backstory or wild tangent....it stayed true to the main characters and focused on them and I really liked that!!

I enjoyed this story. It had a great balance of characters. Though I did find that Dax could be a bit of a tool, Loch being such a genuinely nice person, evened it out. I also liked that there wasn't any drama with the guys concerning sex. That seems to be prevalent in most MMF books. Great job.

Great story line

I enjoyed reading this story. I feel that the chacter lacked depth and I didn't feel like I knew them very well. Also the ending seemed a little rushed.

Another wonderful story by Nicole Stewart.

A celebrity known for his love of women and men. A homeless artist who doesn't really look homeless. A relatively new owner of the failing homeless shelter. What do they have in common? At first, they don't have anything in common.

The celebrity, Dax, is trying to get his career jump-started. The artist, Loch, just wants a roof over his head and draw. The homeless shelter owner, Zoe, is trying to keep the shelter from closing.

In the first part of the book, Dax comes off as a user. Once he meets and gets to know Zoe & Loch, things change. They had a love affair that affected all three in almost the same way. After six months apart, they com back together and are the happiest they've ever been . A hot, loving story that shows it doesn't matter where you come from that defines you. They are a wonderful family who give each other the love and support they need. Love isn't always between two people, if the participants are open to a third. No one has the right to define how you love. Only you can. Dax, Zoe and Loch love and want the other two.

I got this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was a change of pace then what I usually read but in a very good way. Instead of a lot of action where someone is trying to kill or ruin you some way you got characters who struggle with every day life. Loch is homeless who told his parents he was gay at a young age and got kicked out and left to his own devices and doesn't think hes good enough for anyone because hes a struggling artists that has nothing. Then you got Zoe whos struggling with keeping her father's dream alive. Then Dax who is the spoiled rich actor who pretends that he doesn't care about anything. They come together as friends and lover despite their struggles. This book kept me interested to the very last page loved it.

i received this book as an ARC for an honest review. i have read quite a few of books by Nicole Stewart and this one by far is my favorite. the way she writes her characters just pulls you in. The views of the characters are something you can relate to. Our world and society are changing rapidly every day and this book shows a possible future for 2 men and a woman to have a love that is tolerated and passably accepted. Although i received this book for a review i cannot wait to purchase it to add to my collect to support great authors.

I love how this story integrated real life homeless issues with a connection that you never really expect. Loch always considered himself gay...never attracted to a woman really. He suffered for this when his family just throws him away. Daxton lives his life doing whatever pleases him and Zoe lives for pleasing everyone else. Can these three come together to create a relationship, love and life that gives each what they need? I loved this storyline and I love Nicole's MMF stories. I was given and ARC for an honest review!

Dax is a Hollywood heartthrob trying to restart his career. Loch is a homeless young man who scrapes by making a living as a street artist. Zoe runs a homeless shelter to honor her father's memory. The three of them meet each other and are instantly attracted.

I enjoyed many elements of this story and I was bored with other elements. I was moved by Zoe's struggle to honor her father. Her personal growth through out the story was great and I felt like she earned her happy ever after. Dax was not the strongest character in my opinion. It took me a long time to start to understand his motivations. I don't know if he really grew or learned anything during the story. I found the character boring. And then there's Loch. I know he's young. I know he's an artist. He also has sudden and meaningful insights at all the right moments. Awesome! And he is disconnected from society and his family. I really thought his backstory would give some tension to the story but if fell kind of flat. Loch certainly wasn't boring but he wasn't well developed either. And I hated the end. It was just so perfect and happy and perfect. Blah (that's a problem I have with lots of books). I feel like this story could be edited down to a much shorter story or filled in with more emotion and meaningful details. It was frustrating because there were so many missed opportunities and useless details that I couldn't keep the flow while I was reading.

I would recommend this book to anyone who already reads Nicole Stewart's stories and M/M/F stories.

I have read a lot of Nicole's MMF books and I have to say that this one is by far the best of all of them. I love the story line in this one. It really left a sort of joy in you how one person's dedication to something they loved led to another person learning to accept that he can be loved and the other person learning how to just be himself and love himself. Such a great book. I don't even what to give any more details than this just so you will go and read her book yourself to find out. But I will give you a little bit....

Zoe lost her father in a plane crash. He ran a shelter named the Healing Hut for the homeless. Zoe did not want to lose this shelter so she needed to do something to keep it. That's how she meets Dax. Dax was a child star who is trying to restart his acting career. In order to do that he decides to help Zoe out by buying her shelter and creating a performance theater inside it. By having this in the shelter he can help her keep the shelter part open and assist people who want careers in the artist business. Loch is a homeless artist who draws in the park for people to get a little money to help him daily. He's given a flyer from a priest about the shelter and decides to go since he had no where to sleep for the night. All three people have different personalities that seem to click and with that they create a bond that brings so much life to this book. Please read you won't regret it.

Good read, threesome relationship, HEA ending

I love this authors writing style. Her view of love means love no matter whom you choose as your partner/s, will give you a loving feeling all around. It's one reason why I sign up for arc's from her as then buy the books too. I know I will read the stories over and over. I did have a hard time at first getting into this story, but ended up not wanting to put it down.
Overview. Zoe is now the owner of the Healing Hut homeless shelter. She inherited it from her father. But she is having problems with funding and more people keep coming. Loch is homeless. Part his choice and part because his parents didn't like that he was gay. In his free time he draws and paints to make a little money and sleeps on friends couches. He goes to the healing hut when his friends can't house him. Dax is a famous movie star who is trying to get back on top of the scene, so he comes up with doing a documentary on the healing hut and how he is being a good person and helping the community. But soon sparks fly between the three of them. They all work together to make the healing hut better as well as their futures, but the three will be in 3 different places. Will they find love that lasts?

4 1/2 stars!

A highly entertaining, sexy, MMF romance that you won't want to miss! The unique storyline, interesting characters, complex circumstances, humorous, sizzling hot sex, intense situations, and surprise twists, all create a fantastic story full of love and respect. This story intrigued me right from the start, and I couldn't put it down till the very end. Another great book by Nicole Stewart!

I enjoyed the complex dynamics between the main characters, that they insisted on becoming friends before finally giving in to the explosive chemistry between them, how they didn't loose themselves in the romance, but kept a firm hold on their dreams, until they could make it all work out for all of them. The respect and dignity that the author showed to those less fortunate throughout the book was a great surprise. I loved how she continued to focus on the patrons of the shelter, showed that everyone, including the homeless, is worthy. Just because of their current circumstances, sometimes all someone needs is a little help, a second chance, or the opportunity to make a better life for themselves.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves a great MMF romance.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love these menage stories by Nicole Stewart. Once again, we have three souls who complete each other. Dax, Loch and Zoe are all from completely different walks of life, but when the three of them meet, their lives are complete. Even if they fight it, they are still the happiest together.

This story was good. I felt a little less connected to these characters than I have in previous stories, but I did still like the story. I would have loved to know a little bit more about all of their pasts. You get a brief look at their histories, but I always love to know all of the detials. I love these taboo love stories.

Nicole Stewart is the best when it comes to ménage MMF Bisexual Romance and this book is no exception. You can't help but love the characters and want them to succeed together, in business and love! I don't know how Nicole continues to come up with storylines that are moving, thought provoking, steamy with hawt erotica, and always leaving me wanting more. Her characters always make me believe I'm chatting with my best friends. I always root for the underdog and Loch was a favorite of mine. I highly recommend you follow Nicole Stewart, so you can read all her books, I know I've enjoyed every one of them! Hard Shelter is definitely no exception!

Fantastic! Oh my, I just love these characters! Loch is an artist, he's so caring and soft spoken. Dax is an actor that is wanting to get himself in the spotlight again but definitely has a heart under there. Zoe is wonderful. She's strong, determined to not lose what her dad had created in the homeless shelter but she isn't afraid to go after who and what she wants. Their relationship is a slow build, getting to know each other and the fire is hot! It's a wonderful journey, discovering what they want, pushing and pulling for it. I was hooked, couldn't put it down. Great read!

When Loch walks into her shelter and needs a place to store his art work, the connection between them is instant, but she is on her to a meeting to try and save her shelter. Daxton makes her an amazing offer, but it comes with changes to the shelter her father established.
Torn between both men who fill different needs in her life, how can she choose or will they make the choice for her? Faced with losing both men, can she find a way to keep the three of them happy and the shelter still open at the same time?

This one had such a unique story line. It involves an actor, a woman who runs a shelter and a homeless artist. It was really focused on the characters and their development, which really is one of Nicole Stewart's strong-suits. I'm a long time fan of this author and this story doesn't disappoint. It wasn't my absolute favorite of hers but it was really enjoyable. I received a copy for an honest review.

Received an advance copy by author for an honest review.

This is by far my favorite MMF book by Nicole. The characters are developed naturally, the story flowed beautifully, and the love was timed nicely. My heart is with Loch. What an awesome character. From the moment he was introduced, my heart was with him. Dalton took some time to warm up to and Zoe has a passion for the homeless that is undeniable.

I did find the epilogue a bit out there, but you know what, it worked. It just did.

So good

I have to be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like it. The subject had me feeling a little uneasy. A worker in a shelter finding love with a person who visits and a man who helps fund the building but the story is so well constructed that those fears disappear.
The love story between the three draws you in.
Also Nicole Stewart knows how to write a love scene! Steamy is the beginning of it.
You will enjoy the book.

Wow

Nicole you did it again!!! I have loved reading all of your books and this one is just as great as all the others have been. These books call to me on a level that amazes me... I love these people in this one and the fact they come from different backgrounds and have found a way to over come their own hang ups to be together and know its right for them.
Keep writing Nicole and I'll keep reading thanks so much.

Great story line

This book is about three individuals who make unlikely connections, more than it is a steamy romance. There is plenty of sexiness but the story of their lives is what is highlighted the most. It takes a look at homelessness and I hope that some pause and take a moment to really think about that community of people. It was interesting to read and has an idealistic ending which I enjoyed. I received a copy in exchange for a review.

This is a tough review for me, although I really liked the characters Loch and Zoe, I equally disliked Dax. I really don't like manipulative and unremorseful main characters in books. That said, this book was fast paced, the characters were well developed, and I found Loch and Zoe compelling. Another good effort by Nicole Stewart.
