Flawless: On the most auspicious night of her life, Verena receives bad news that results in the downward spiral of her family's beauty business and her relationship with her fiancé. Trusting Derrick, she listens to his advice, not realising that he is playing a separate game that serves his own ends. Trying to make sense of it all, Verena takes a breather and meets Lance, who immediately takes her under his protective wing and meets her most pressing needs. As Verena desperately seeks solutions to the ever increasing problems instigated by Derrick, she keeps bumping into Lance with his cheerful grin, ready wit and scrumptious meals. However, facing betrayal at every turn, she questions whether she can trust him when the one person who should have had her back has obliterated her trust. The romance between Verena and Lance is sweet, however most of the story revolved around the financial matters of the business and I personally found it fairly long winded, although it was the basis of the story.
Beauty Mark: A legal suspenseful romance, Scarlett discovers that sexism is alive and well in the corporate world. When she forcibly declines her boss' advances, it opens a Pandora ’s Box and ultimately a mystery to be solved. Fortunately, childhood friend Johnny joins her on a trip to Spain and comes to her rescue when an attempt is made on her life. I thoroughly enjoyed the descriptions of Scarlett and Johnny's trip through Spain and it took me back to my own travels in the region. So many good memories were stirred. However, the idyll comes to an end and Scarlett has to face the music and the fallout from the events set in motion by her boss. Fortunately Scarlett has a keen lawyer’s mind and when she starts to link events together, they make for a disturbing picture. Beauty Mark is well written and while there is passion there are no long drawn out bedroom scenes, but instead the book focuses on the romance that ignites between childhood friends Scarlett and Johnny.
Runway: Against her mother’s wishes, Fianna leaves Ireland to launch a career as a fashion designer in the USA. Encouraged by her best friends she holds her debut runway show with resounding success. There she meets Niall and not knowing anything about him, she takes a stroll on the beach with him. They get caught in a tidal wave that almost takes their lives and the connection between them is made, although it appears to fizzle out before the relationship can go anywhere. With her sister getting married in Ireland, Fianna returns home to face an onslaught of family and peer pressure to marry a local man, and she has her work cut out for her resisting their bombardment of pressure. Added to that, when her fashion show in Ireland is sabotaged, resulting in injury to the models, Fianna has to rethink her future and overcome the Fitzgerald Flop as the press has labelled her. However, Fianna is no shrinking violet and neither is she a quitter. With the help of Niall and her friends she has a breakthrough and the story comes to a happy conclusion at the Bow-Tie Restaurant that has featured so prominently in this series. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Each story in this well-written, compelling series follows one of four strong, intelligent, likeable friends, each of whom heads her own business. Each protagonist faces betrayal and adversity, but can rely on her own intelligence, her training, her friends and her network of contacts, as she resolves the challenges to find success and also finds a new romance. Each story offers an interesting glimpse into the industry or profession in which the protagonist works.
I enjoyed all three stories, and am likely to re read all of them, but especially FLAWLESS. I'd like a story about the 4th friend.

Here is my review for:
Flawless: This book was exciting and fun and funny. I won this book a while back and have just now had the pleasure of reading it. I am so glad I did. It was a blast. I love the characters and the way they were able to turn lemons into lemonade. Karma is something and boy did it raise it's head in an ugly and quick way! Grab it read it and by all means enjoy it like i did! Good Job Ms Moran.
I don't have the rest of them completed yet but I know they will be amazing when I finish them!!

I'm a huge fan of Jan Moran, her books are always a pleasure to read. This set is no different. Even though most of us arent lawyers or we don't own our own cosmetics company etc, somehow the characters in these books are relatable. You find yourself routing for them and feeling as though you're part of their group of friends. A nice way to escape for a few hours (per book, this set kept me busy a few days).

You get adventure, romance, drama and comedy all rolled in to one. The perfect ingredients for great stories along with friends who are strong and independent and have overcome obstacles to find happiness and success.. A fun and enjoyable read for sure.

Friends tie this series together and keep everyone sane. Each story features a different woman but they all fit nicely together. Very different romances but all very good stories. Will definitely be checking out more of this authors work.

I loved this box set of charming stories that make you feel good. The collection is comprised of Flawless, Beauty Mark, and Runway, all of which have mystery, comedy, and drama combined with romance. This set is fantastic for a weekend relaxing at the beach.

This collection of books will crap you from the start. I enjoyed all three books. The stories were fun, intriguing, romatic, and sexy. They were well written and good storylines.

March 24, 2020Lovely, warm and wonderful characters with the interwoven stories but very similar challenges. The reader feels as if she is a friend of the characters so well-written. A great many adjectives though - sometimes it's too descriptive, however with this pandemic it is fun to just immerse yourself in well-cared for and developed storylines AND I was a bit elated to see that there is another set of Love CA books with some of the other "star" friends!!! Enjoyed!

Wow, this is a really great box set by Jan.
This box set is about three best friends and what they have to do to overcome so many obstacles to get a happy ending.
They are strong, resilient and independent so the task is a lot harder. There is strong connection and chemistry along with drama, betrayal and romance.
This is the first time that I have read anything by this author but definitely not the last as they are so well written. I definitely recommend you read this box set as it is definitely worth reading.Can't wait to read the following box set in line (Books 4-6).

The only negatives I can find are a few spelling and grammar mistakes along the way, but it still doesn't detract from the great storylines and characters and it definitely did not stop me from wanting to find out what was going to happen next.

Strong Familial Ties. Extreme Loyalty Between Family Members.
Overview: Very insightful and provocative reading.

Corporate sabotage, deceptive and manipulative behaviour. The romance between the main male character and the main female character seemed very laid back. The main female character seemed to make almost silly decisions regarding her love life; in sharp contrast to how she was as a business woman, friend or family issue. Good story that was easy to believe ad felt very real. Strong familial ties and extremely loyalty between family members. Lovely to read about a strong, supportive, connected and loving family unit.

Absolutely loved this series, we meet all the friends during the first book and get to know then more through out each others so you feel lie you are part of their circle of friends and family as well.
You will laugh, crying, get frustrated, want to know heads together as well as chew your nails as you see Verena's family business in crisis and about to be lost to a scoundrel, Scarlett having her career she has worked so darn hard to achieve being ripped away from her but a vindictive colleague and then there is Fianna gosh I love that girl but someone doesn't want to see her achieve fame even though she is so close. Even with their worlds collapsing they have a chance at love but both the guys and gals are going to have to fight for each other and see they deserve their happy ever after!!

A Really Enjoyable Collection
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is an entertaining collection of stories in a Box Set from Jan Moran. “Love California Series Collection 1-3” is a very enjoyable and well written collection books. The brilliant, entertaining chemistry and interaction between the interesting characters kept me glued till the end. This is a really great, engaging Box Set that I enjoyed reading.

I am so glad I was able to read this collection!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. I found myself in love with not only the characters, but also the worlds that were created.
Great character development with enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into each and every book.
