Rosie has met the man of her dreams... Or could it really be her nightmares? After fabulous sex, he suddenly disappears. He re-enters her life in time for her to discover he's being forced into a shotgun wedding.

Lucas finds in Rosie everything he's ever wanted in a mate. Only problem is, she's human. His werewolf parents want him to marry a nice girl with a fur coat, but the woman they've chosen is a bitch in more ways than one. When his fiancée Annabelle accidently bites Rosie she is thrown into a whole new fuzzy lifestyle.

If Lucas can just downplay the negative aspects of being a werewolf - fleas, the desire to chase motorcycles, and Uncle Harold - maybe he can convince Rosie that Annabelle's bite is actually a good thing. Now that she too is a werewolf, they can be together.

Can Lucas win back the love of his life? Can Rosie love a man who moonlights as a wolf? A sexy comedy that will have you howling...

Nice little Werewolf romance!

This was a great little romance, it is a true “Werewolf” tale, not shifter due to some of the elements going back to traditional werewolf beliefs like how they have to change during full moons even though they can change at will any other time, and how some are born but if you bite a human, they will become a Werewolf if they don’t die.

“Can we start again?”
He held out his hand. “Hi, I’m Lucas Colbert and I’ll be your stalker for the day.”
She burst out laughing. “Um, hi. I’m Rosie.”
“Hi Rosie. Would you like to go to dinner tonight?”
“What?”
“Dinner, you know, they put a bunch of food in front of you then you put it in your mouth. It’s really fun.”

So Alpha Werewolf Lucas who is extremely wealthy and soon to become the leader of his clan must find a mate first. However, he isn’t interested in any females until he meets Rosie. Rosie is a human and his clan will not accept her. Even though werewolves can be created by a bite, that isn’t something that is allowed since humans could die from it also. To complicate things further, after Lucas has a one night stand with Rosie, another Werewolf female tells the clan she is pregnant with Lucas’s baby.

I fell for the cute cover, and because Nora Snowdon’s humoristic writing style is supposedly comparable to that of Dakota Cassidy’s whose werewolf books I’ve enjoyed in the past. To my disappointment, JUST ONE BITE was neither funny nor quaint. Lucas had already accumulated three strikes by the halfway point, so when Rosie continued to pursue a romantic relationship with him after that, I was done with both of them.

You’re probably wondering how one man could manage to irreparably screw up his chances of winning the reader over by the 50% mark of a novella. Lucas’ first offense was stalking Rosie until she agreed to a second date after a chance meeting in a club. His second was disappearing in the middle of the night after sex. And, to round it out, he allegedly knocked another girl up, and is refusing to take responsibility.

A real winner, right? Ok, so a lot of the above-mentioned behaviour stems from Lucas being a werewolf, and eventually gets explained. But I’m sorry, I don’t care how good looking you are on two legs or four, if I hooked-up with a guy, and that was my initial impression of him, I would probably be filing for a restraining order ASAP. The author did absolutely nothing to justify me sticking around to give this man a chance.

Had the whole debacle been told in more of a comical tone my opinion of this short would have been different. However, other than Robert getting neutered by the ASPCA while in wolf form, I didn’t even crack a smile. The couple’s relationship went from run-for-the-hills to happily-ever-after in a nanosecond. I liked the bits where Rosie used werewolf Lucas as a therapist, but that’s the only positive thing I have to say.

JUST ONE BITE was a load of garbage.

I'll be the first to admit I requested this from Netgalley because despite the fact that a lot of people find paranormal romance cartoony book covers to be cheesy, I find them pretty endearing and I couldn't resist this one. Also, a series called "Dances with Werewolves" is one I almost have to explore.

Rosie is a quiet, hardworking gal who is constantly overshadowed by her friend Eve, is is always picking up random guys searching for Mr. Right. One night, Rosie meets the gorgeous Lucas and can't believe he shows any interest in her. About that same time, she also meets a stray dog who becomes her jogging partner most days. Rosie and Lucas eventually have a one night stand but little does she know, he and the dog/wolf are one in the same and pack rules prohibit them from being together.

"Just One Bite" is a fun, sexy romp. It was a really easy read and just what I needed to fill the time after some more complex November titles (and the infamous slump of November 2016). My main regret is that it is basically a novella and it was over before I wanted it to be. I really like Snowdon could have made this a much longer, more complex novel and it would have been just as much fun and just as good. Either that, or maybe some warning that it was so short. Either way, there is a sequel coming out in which we learn more about Lucas's brother which I am interesting in reading. If you like paranormal romance and aren't looking for a light read, you can't really go wrong with this one, especially given it's length.

A fun, quick paranormal romance.

Are the characters perfect? No. Lucas is pretty much a jerk and it's pretty formulaic with the manipulative super bitch trying to sabotage the true love couple. But, it's a fun little escape for awhile. Lots of silly little jokes along the way, but still delivers some of the steamy goodness.

A quick, quirky read with enough humor, romance, and fantasy to be fun. The cover art captured my attention immediately, but the characters carried the story, making this a quick read. Some may not care for the premise of the story, and I'm not usually a Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre fan, but the way the characters were well written, drawing me in and keeping my attention from beginning to end.

This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Okay – this adorable book makes me want to go out and kiss the closest, largest, cutest, shaggiest dog ever, in the hopes he turns into my Prince!
This is a really great read – and a fast read – because I couldn’t put it down. “Just One Bite” is a cute yet sexy story about the trials and tribulations of dating in the modern age and how sometimes, you are just lead by your heart, or instincts. Nora Snowden puts a funny twist on werewolves and in this case, he is a shaggy stray that follows our Heroine (Rosie) around, becoming her confidant – not that she know this at the time, but as the story unfolds she finds herself thrown into a life she didn’t ask for, but one she dose not object to…so long as Lucas is waiting on the other end.

This book has it all – it is fast paced, has a strong storyline, it has sexy-time, comedy, and enough obstacles to keep you interested. I will definitely be putting the rest of Snowden’s books on my Santa’s List.

Love At First Sniff is a fast-paced read full of humor and wit, like only Nora Snowdon can deliver. I loved the playful romance between Lucas and Rosie, which at times got really hot and heavy. This is a unique spin on werewolves, showing the lighter puppy dog side, while still reminding you these supernatural canines have a dark, primal side. Love At First Sniff is a quick read that not only leaves you wanting the story to continue, but also has you wanting your own werewolf after meeting Lucas.

Werewolf Romance like you've never read before! Nora Snowdon knows how to spin a great story. Most heroes and heroines run into their share of problems, but you have to read this book to see the twists and turns Nora can dream up when she turns her incredible wit to a werewolf story.

Just One Bite is a funny, quirky, sexy and just plain fun romantic comedy paranormal style. It’s a novella, under 100 Kindle pages, but please don’t let that stop you from discovering an enjoyable couple who happen to have the craziest luck.

Rosie is out with her friend doing the bar scene, even though she doesn’t particularly like to be here… at least she’s out of the house, and who knows, maybe she’ll meet someone fabulous. Yeah, right. She catches a whiff of a delicious, sinful scent and badly imitating a puppy starts sniffing the air around her. Spinning around on the bar stool she comes nose to chest with the owner of that tantalizing scent. Appearing to be as confused by events as she is, Lucas asks her to dance and once in his arms she can’t help but cuddle up as though she has every right to be right there… forever. Rosie is devastated when Lucas returns her to her seat and then promptly leaves the bar. He didn’t feel that thing between them? Impossible, he’s running scared. But since there’s no sense in staying around Rosie avoids a persistent drunk and tries to head home. When the drunk is stupid enough to follow her into the parking lot and tries to grab her a large dog, maybe a wolf, snarls at him from the darkness and scares him away. Rosie is thankful to her canine rescuer and with a pat to the pup’s head, gets into her car and heads quickly home. She doesn’t see the animal following, watching over her until she is home safe… and then making note of the address and her car plates before disappearing into the night.

Lucas is a werewolf, the son of a leader and is expected to take over their pack one day. His brother Robert should be the one taking leadership but since Robert has an… indelicate problem, it falls to Lucas to continue the line. It is forbidden to mate with a human. It took everything he possessed to walk away from Rosie. He has no clue as to why, but she feels as natural in his arms as breathing. But nothing will come from it as he is expected to select a mate from within the pack… one she wolf who is being shoved in his face, one he doesn’t really want but may not be able to avoid.

There you have the basic setup of Just One Bite. Of course, there is lots more, sexy times, intrigue, misunderstandings, a bite, one very vindictive wolf… and two people who know they belong together, they just have to figure out how given the circumstances. I enjoyed this one very much. I love when a story with a paranormal slant will catch me off guard and into laughter. It’s funny, witty and simply an enjoyable read. I’m off now to pick up the next story… yeah, I like it that much. I think you would too.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. For ten dollars a month you get access to thousands of really great stories across all genre, and the authors get paid for you reading the story through to the 100% mark. It’s a win-win. Probably the best 10 bucks I spend a month.

As a starter to a new series, Just One Bite is a true winner. Leading with humor and more than a few hearty chuckles this story grabs your attention from the very beginning and has you hanging on for the entire ride to the very end. It has a touch of something for almost everyone. A little romantic comedy, a pinch of dark and light humor, and a big helping of the paranormal.

The plot is sound and the characters are as likeable as they are believable. It moves smoothly from scene to scene at a quick pace. At ninety-five pages you can easily read this great novella in very little time. Just tuck into it the next time your stuck in the Doctor's waiting room. Book two - First Bite is the Deepest is now available as well. Just in case your in a hurry for more about Lucas' brother Robert and his possible HEA.

My rating is 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

This is the first installment in the "Dances With Werewolves" series of paranormal romances.

Rosie and her BFF, Eva, work for a talent agency. While at a bar one evening, Rosie meets the man of her dreams. They share one dance, which leaves her longing for more. When Rosie encounters Lucas again, they have dinner out and sex in. Lucas seems too good to be true, and Rosie can't help but wonder what he sees in her.

Lucas can't forget about the human woman he met at a bar, nor can he seem to stay away from her. As a werewolf, he knows that mating with humans is not allowed. His parents keep pushing him to marry a nice werewolf and produce pups, but Lucas has fallen head over tail for Rosie.

The machinations of a jealous rival push them apart, but when the rival resorts to violence, the unintended consequences may bring Rosie and Lucas together again...if only Rosie can accept all of Lucas and if his family can welcome her into the pack.

A cute and lighthearted read. Characterizations were done well for a novella, including the not-so-savory character(s). The relationship was somewhat rushed, but that's not unexpected for this length story.

I hesitate to give this an average rating, but there was nothing remarkable about it; therefore, three stars it is.

This was really cute and very sexy with some great humor too. Rosie is the kind of girl that I could relate to, someone with a boring job, a not-perfect body, and who's afraid to put herself out there. Lucas is very yummy. He's hot and handsome but not a growly alpha like you see in so many werewolf stories. He's a very giving lover and their sex scenes together are very steamy without making the book into erotica. He cares for her and is quite loving and tender--the perfect boyfriend. Of course, while they both care for (then love) each other, and each can't get the other out of their head, there are rules to be obeyed in the werewolf community. Those rules are not the only thing trying to get between them and Lucas has to really work to have the woman he loves. I enjoyed the times that they bantered and the scenes of "Buddy the dog" out jogging with her cracked me up. The whole package was light and fun, a good start to a series that I plan to follow.

Like all short novels there are good ones and there are eh ones. This one was an eh ones. I am all for a short quick read if that truly what it is. But when the author tries to cram a whole story into less than 100 pages its sloppy. This would have been a great story if it was longer and the author allowed for better character development. Feels like it was thrown together to create a buck so to speak. MIGHT consider reading the next one if its longer and I need something different to read.

3 & 1/2 stars generously rounded up.
Over all, this quirky little werewolf story was cute. There were a few places that could have been filled in with more info (background or just to the story itself), & the ending felt a bit rushed & too easily everything is solved. It flowed pretty well over all, & held enough world building to not get a reader confused. Held my attention & entertained me for a quick read.

3 STARS - I LIKED IT

This is a cute story. It has the feeling of being a little amateurish but is fairly well developed for the type of book it is. It is simple and the ending is a little rushed but it is still a cute read. If you're in the mood for a light, fluff, PNR then you might enjoy this one.

It was alright, an entertaining novella to read during lunch to take my mind off the piles of things to tackle when I got back to work at the office.
While I didn't actively dislike Nora's writing, her style didn't really crack me up like I was hoping it would.
I don't think I'll be reading anymore in the series, folks. Just not my cup o' tea.

Got sex scenes

Warning...there are multiple hot sex scenes in this book. Rosie is a human who meets a man to whom she is sexually attracted. She has a one-night stand with him only to find out later that he is a werewolf. And, that's only after she accidentally gets bitten by one. You need to read the book to find out what happens next.

Our Rating:

Right around the time Rosie has a one-night-stand with the most amazing man, she’s also befriended on her morning jogs by a stray dog that seems to always be waiting for her. But her perfect man isn’t so perfect after all, as she finds out he’s apparently engaged, soon to be a father, and not entirely all human. Things just got a little crazier than she bargained for.

But… It’s no secret that Im not a fan of novellas, and had I realized Just One Bite was one, I probably would have skipped right past it. Guess that’ what I get for not paying attention. So my obvious complaint is that the story was just to short, especially since it was so much fun and had the potential to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, things moved a little too quickly, and it was over long before I was ready for it to end.

The second thing I had an issue with is the whole wolf vs. dog part. My understanding is that Lucas is a werewolf, as in he and the rest of his pack aren’t averse to howling at the moon. But every time Rosie sees him in his animal form, she thinks he’s a dog. A rather large dog, sure, but a dog nonetheless. And then that whole thing about the SPCA neutering one of the pack… Am I seriously supposed to believe that an organization dedicated primarily to the welfare of dogs and cats doesn’t know the difference between a wolf and a dog? Even if it were a volunteer who made that mistake, the veterinarian who performed the surgery would surely know better, since the physical differences are so blatantly obvious. *Sigh*

Judging Covers: While I normally pass right on by any books that even hint at werewolves or shapeshifters, the cover on this one made me take a second look. The cartoonish characters hint at a lot of fun, and that impression was right on the money. Glad I made an exception to my usual taste in reads!

The Verdict: Rosie gets roped into going out to a bar with her bestie, and just as she expected, nothing much exciting is happening. But then she notices the most delicious scent and finds herself dancing with a man she can’t possibly resist. Unfortunately, that dance comes to an end, as does her night, and she finds herself leaving alone — or so she thinks. A rather pushy, possibly drunk guy follows her out, but thanks to the intervention of a strange dog that appears almost out of nowhere, she’s saved from whatever that guy had in mind. That same dog doesn’t exactly stick around, but he develops a habit of showing up just in time for her morning runs.

Fast forward a day or two, and she runs into Lucas again, and this time she agrees to go out with him, even though she doesn’t really have much hope that a guy like him could really want a girl like her. She’s not a troll or anything…just not Barbie-doll pretty to go with his Mr. Perfect face and body. Their relationship escalates pretty quickly, and before she knows it, she’s pretty sure she’s just had a one night stand. But that one night turns into more, and everything seems to be going well enough until his apparent fiancee shows up. And that’s where Lucas’s true nature is revealed.

I like that Just One Bite bucked the fiction trend I’ve seen lately of werewolves having to be born that way, not bitten and changed. It’s more in line with traditional werewolf tales, and it gave Lucas and Rosie the potential to make a go of their relationship rather than spend half the book dealing with pack politics. That’s not to say they didn’t have their share of drama, but it was more about them than what everyone else might think. Rosie, for her part, is pretty much your normal woman. Sure, Lucas thinks she’s beautiful, but she doesn’t glam it up or really stand out in a crowd, and she’s terribly intimidated by his so-called fiancee Priscilla. Her reaction to the werewolf bit was pretty realistic, too, I imagine; who among us would have a clue how to deal with something like that and wouldn’t freak out at first?

Honestly, I absolutely loved Just One Bite, and had it been novel-length, it probably would have ended up in my favorites. Unfortunately, there just weren’t enough pages to fit all that was going on, and once the brilliant humor, magic of meeting, and drama of discovery were covered, there was nowhere to fit building Lucas and Rosie’s relationship. The chemistry between these two was unbelievably hot, and they obviously liked each other. But because the story was so condensed, they basically decided to get married after like three dates. It’s a fun read, and I’d definitely recommend grabbing it on Kindle Unlimited, but I’m not sure I’d tell anyone to spend $3 on it when you can get many full-length novels on Amazon for the same or less.

This quickie read really packs a punch! The combination of humor, romance, and sizzle were just right. All of that rolls up into a book that had me begging for more!

Rosie isn't one to just dive into a relationship, but it seems like that's who she wants to become after meeting a hot stranger at a club. Who knew that one dance could shake up her world so much? It doesn't hurt that he appears to be as smitten with her as she is with him. Oh, and the chemistry is off-the-charts hot! Things seems to be going in the right direction after a wonderful date and even more wonderful night together until things start becoming... weird.

Lucas never really intended on falling for Rosie. He's under enough pressure from his pack to mate with Annabelle (a conniving, manipulative, selfish, woman) that he should know better than to date a human. It seems like he just can't say no, though. Even after his own personal drama and hidden werewolf-status can't keep him from stalking Rosie in his wolf form. Their romance plays out through a series of twists and turns, but ends up giving us a nice, neat, HEA. It's official - I'm in love with this series.

After just one dance

Lucas meets Rosie at a bar, neither one can get enough of the other, each other's scent is addictive. To bad Lucas has enemies and one is out to make sure Rosie's life is forever changed. Good thing Lunas is there to help.
