Warning: The tale you are about to read is a story of sexual creatures, human or otherwise. This tale is for adults 18 and up.
Jason is an awkward guy, happier in his dreams and fantasies then going to social events and parties. Playing online games, he often dreams of way to become the person he wishes he could be, strong, confident and sexy.
When a virtual MMORPG called Lewd Knights hits the stores, the young man feels it might actually be a world where he can be himself and satisfy his hunger for high adventure and seductive liaisons.
Nearly first in line, the player can't wait to get the system home. Little does he know how immersive the game really is. Entering the world of Lewd Knights, Jason soon discovers of mysterious plots and high adventure. The knight's lustful desires will be tested as he tries to overcome his awkward habits and open his heart to a love he never imagined.
There was something of a bait and switch with this book. It started out that a man is waiting in line to buy the brand new virtual reality online game filled with fantasy adventure and sex. He is very nervous about being in line and anyone he knows might see him and think he is a freak. Later when he starts he game, it asks for 6 kinks that he likes so the game can optimize his experience. Out of the 6 it only tells us one: submissive. We later find out that he also is into monster girls. I was a little confused at this since I didn't really think any of that was taboo? It's not like there are real monster girls anywhere except in games and movies. He goes along and plays the game and ends up with a cat concubine. Apparently, one has to increase the number of concubines they have and that is how they level up and gain power. He meets another Knight named Lance and then another one named Sonja and they adventure together. Sonja seems to be exactly like our main character in that in the real world he is shy and does not handle being around other people very well. Lance seems perfectly comfortable in this new world, talking about how he just spent 3 days in an orgy. Here is the bait and switch part though. It's about halfway through the book before we find out that Lance is homosexual (well actually bi) and his concubine turns out to be male. Then about 3/4 of the way through the book our main character admits that one of the kinks that he programmed in the computer was bisexuality. Now there is nothing wrong with that, except that it is not something that I am into. There was also no warning. A lot of these books while spell out that there is MF, FF, MFF content. This book did not do that. So just so everyone knows this book has MF, MM, MFM content. The author also waited a long time before she revealed that fact. The author did a similar thing with the last thing I read that she wrote: The blue mage. In that series for 4 books I thought I knew how far the author would go and then in the fifth book, she writes about what comes down to multiple rapes of one of the main characters. I think this author is looking for shock value. For that, I think she is accomplishing her task. She has definitely made me uncomfortable in my reading at times.
I've read the entire series in about a week. Could not stop reading this and it really made me want to write some litrpg for adults too. In a fevered flurry from loss of sleep caused by reading these books late into the night, I've got a basic outline for one already. Hopefully later this year I'll have finished some of my other projects so I can finish writing it but right now, I just want to read more of Eden's great work. It's sexy, the plot and characterisation and development are great fun, they characters really have things to lose that they genuinely feel stress over. Fantastic stuff. :)
I found the story to be imaginative and entertaining, I had problems getting totally immersed in the story due to numerous grammatical errors. The descriptions of the sexual encounters seemed to follow similar formats and descriptions causing me to feel like I was rereading the same encounter over and over. If the story had been edited better and the sex scenes didn't feel like the same thing every time I would have given it a higher rating.
I loved the story line and the characters. I just found this genre and I'm becoming a fast fan. I couldn't put this down and I'm both anxious to finish the others and sad that I'll probably have read through them all within the next week. Great story!
There could be more story . The amount of sex is fine, although it is unnecessary at times. The character development is really slight and could be enhanced. I will give one more book a try before I right the story off as a failed attempt.
This is the first of this type of book I have read it's different yet familiar I did enjoy it and fixing g to read the next thanks for allowing me to read your works
