Maybe closer to a 3.5. It's a fairly good spy thriller but the ending was too open ended even for the beginning of a six book series. John Paine was one of the best agents in the CIA, but things started going wrong for him. It seems someone has infiltrated the top ranks of the Company and wants Paine dead. In fact it seems people want Paine dead all over but he is hard to catch. Also he fights back.
Recommended, the ending was a little off but I did enjoy the read. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
