Old and new careers taking off, new acquaintances and "ghost from the past", an unexpected and rightful trip, a long-lost family treasure showing up, and dreams becoming realities-these are just some of the surprises John and Jillian, and many of their friends and loved ones, experience in A New Note. Hang on to your hat as you take a wild ride with the characters of the third book in the Noted! series.
Kathy J. Jacobson is the author of the Noted! fiction series and two mysteries. She has also written devotions for The Word in Season (Augsburg Fortress) periodical. Kathy is an avid traveler, having visiting all fifty U.S. states and six continents. She loves the theater, hiking, and the Wisconsin Badgers, but her true passion is writing. Her first novel, Noted!, debuted in 2015. Since then, she has published six more books. Kathy's first mystery novel, In The Secret Heart, was published in 2021 and a sequel, A Change of Heart, in 2022. She is currently working on a third mystery in this series.
Moving right on to book 4 in the series. K. Jacobson ends book 3 with a hook that leads me to find out what happens next in this series. The relationship between John and Jillian is rather "dreamy", but it is fun to watch the love between them. And Jillian continues to help everyone she comes in contact with - and when will the biological father of Marty reappear? Is he the million dollar donor perhaps? Guess I will need to read on to find out...really enjoying this sweet inspirational series.
You might think this 3rd book in the Noted series would begin to get less interesting but Kathy does it again in turning out a great continuation of the first two books. The spiritual side of the characters comes through very nicely and their love and faith is tested in some new situations. There are many circumstances/events that are new that make you love the characters even more. Another 5 star book in the series!
I bought the first three books in the series all together, and once I started, I read all three in rapid succession. They are well written. Each one kept me interested and piqued my curiosity as to what would happen next. I love a good love story, and especially one with a Christian undertone. I highly recommend this read.
I won this book on Goodreads. It is the 3rd in the series and while things are hinted at in the book, it really would've helped to read the first two in the series. John and Jillian have a perfect marriage, their friends finally are able to have a baby and it is twins, other friends get a foster boy to raise and he is very well behaved. John is an actor and takes a job with a woman out to break up his marriage, but it doesn't, he wins an oscar. Jillian is a writer and her book is on the best seller list. All good things happen throughout the book and you keep waiting for the fall. The more good that happened, the more afraid you were that something awful would happen to John and Jillian.
