The second arc of the smash-hit ongoing series concludes with the Paper Girls risking everything to escape the 21st Century... but if any survive, where will they end up next?

Is Brian getting paid from apple here, this is the best publicity ever! We are falling in love with these girls more and more each issue. I forgot to mention last issue the ship of the old timers was just epic, i never felt that impressed since i saw the nautilus submarine in league of extraordinary gentlemen. We keep thinking old timers or future people, but Brian was like both of them are bad news. And now they are on some mountain of apple worshipping cultists or so it would seem!
I'm glad I decided to wait on reading the last few issues (heh, I say that like it was a plan when really I've not been reading - gaming instead) because this story is better told in chunks.
PArece que me he perdido. En general, Tantos nombres, saltos de tiempo y cosas extrañas me tienen algo descolocada. Aun así me mantiene en la punta de la silla.
5⭐️ PHEWWWWWWW I’m glad we got over “what Erin” but honestly I was surprised hehe, I kinda felt that the “old” Erin was the one misleading the girls oups. And if KJ is not the one who gave them the instructions then who did that? AAAAA
The slow metering out of the mystery is so carefully crafted that it leaves me exhilarated for the next issue, and finding out the overall mystery at the same time. Lots of thoughtful time travel paradox manipulation. lots of letting the artwork "show" the story. some fun language stuff from the future versions of characters. a little nod to the paranoid FUD surrounding this year's election. the ambiguity of each side firmly believing what they are doing is right.
Overall, what really shines here is the coloring. man does it go a long way toward helping the narrative and make the art pop on the page.
Without spoilers, I'm still not completely positive how Erin figured out what she did. I went back and read it and am still like, "Well, it makes sense from either direction." But okay, good for her, she did. This wasn't bad, but I'm still not sure what is going on, or if the futuristic bastardization of the language is necessary, but it is impressive.
Solid issue, can't wait for the next run. They crafted it really well clubbing everything towards the final return. Now I care for the characters, multiple ones, over different time periods. Not everything is explained, but things are starting to make sense amidst all confusion.
I guess they are waiting for the elections to be over, so that they can tweak the story a bit.
Oh my gosh, that illustration towards the end of the issue was absolutely stunning! The vibrant colours and pure otherworldliness to it has me so excited for what will come. I'm so glad that the girls have sort of gone their own way and they're sticking with each other above all else.
