“En Route” is a story about life's journeys. Peter, Arete, Helen, and Nikolas, with their suitcases packed with life’s gifts, find its essence at last: the real and eternal love all people seek and hope to find through others from the moment they are born — the everlasting love that has the power to transform everything en route.
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, I have enjoyed and created art from an early age. Years later, my studies in civil engineering allowed me to combine my love for the arts with my belief in an orderly world. Meanwhile, reading and writing have always been my favorite pursuits. While collaborating as an editor with other authors, assisting them in their writing endeavors, in 2014, I wrote and published independently my first book in English, The Great Journey, which was later published in Greek under the title To Megalo Taxidi. Since then, I have been exploring different writing genres. So far, I have also published the following books: φρέντο (2024) φρέντο (2024) Adieus (2023) En Route (2016) At This Time of the Year (2017) Instants of Mine (2017) something like (2018) A TriAngle (2019) something like in reverse (2020)
En Route is a story about life's journeys. En Route is exactly what the title suggests. A journey. Through life, love and happiness. Although this is the road where the writer is taking you along with her, it’s not the travel. Because, and it is here that she shows insight into human nature, it is all about different people, their personalities and how they deal with purpose, meaning, chance and luck. Four young adults, four times a wish to pursue happiness. First, it goes without saying, happiness depends on so many and so much. The characters are finding out, along the way, what makes them tick. And how to find that happiness. Eventually, they do.
En Route" is a captivating and beautifully written story that follows the lives of four young people. Through relatable and authentic characters, the book explores how our choices shape our future and reminds us to be mindful of what we value most. It offers a message of hope and second chances that will stay with readers long after they've finished the book. Highly recommended!
En Route is an easily readable story that you will want to read again and again. Fluid yet dense with meaning, describing life's episodes while reaching well beyond that, En Route made me think and think again about how life evolves, what makes sense, and of the stylized characters whose roles we take and are surrounded with. Just lovely.
A story which projects key life aspects with simplicity. Within few pages the author is able to show that we all share common experiences at the bottom line. Intuitively things come to the reader’s mind about life. Enjoy it!

First of all: I received this book through the Goodreads Giveaways.
I really liked this book. It was a short read, I have read it today en route while commuting to work and back.
The story is about four doctors: how they met, how they started their life together, went apart choosing different paths and then found back together in their homeland Greece.
And as Maria mentions at the end: you will find parts of yourself in the characters because this book is about life.
