Heart of a Boss: A Memphis Love Story
Shayla Bridges lived the normal life of a high school student, until she laid her eyes on Jaxon. She falls head over hills for him. In her mind she had the perfect love story. That is until she dropped out of college to follow him to Miami. Soon as they touched down in Miami her sunshine and blue sky’s turned into rain and thunderstorms. After 4 years of being locked away from the world and being mistreated she finally got the opportunity to get away from him. After moving back to Memphis she finds out that her long time best friend Jazmine held back a secret that could have saved her a lot of agony and heartbreak that she went through with Jaxon.
Shortly after returning back home to Memphis her best friend Reagan introduces her to one of the most notorious drug distributors in the south Kamery Moreno. Kamery comes into her life and shows her what its really like to be loved. He was the total opposite of Jaxon, from his demeanor to the way that he dressed. Never in a million years would she have though that she would be in love with a man of his stature.
After finding out that she is pregnant she decides that is time for her to be independent and achieve some of her personal goals she has set. Just when fells like she has everything under control she finds out that Kamery and his brother inherited their father’s drug empire.
In addition to being a soon to be mom, opening a club, and being a King Pins wife she tries her best to stay focused. After not only being kidnapped …but also being betrayed by her best friend that just doesn’t seem to be happening. Can Shayla with stand the heartache, betray and pain that come with the biggest drug supplier on the United States? Or will she run when things get messy?

They’re so many issues with this one that I don’t know where to start so I’ll keep it simple. The time frame of everything moves so fast that you don’t get a chance to get into one thing before something else comes up. Shayla goes from being smart, cheated on, forgiving him, he breaks up with her and she turns around and follows him to another state after he dumps her.
Then he’s mistreating her, she runs and within hours, Kam is head over heels in love with her. Within those same hours she moves in with him and th… Tired of the bull already. The guys are waaaay too feminine, they cry and whine more than the women. Seems like they’re all cousins or close to it and on top of all that, this needs editing. The ending was okay but the story was all over. Not sure about the next one but I guess if I get bored.

Confusing
Okay I was getting confused with all the similar names. That wasn't even cute. It makes it hard for the reader to keep up. Kam, kamerin, Kamen, and Kamina. (Who's Kamery?) We should be glad Kollon and KJ are already out the picture. Besides them, we have lots of other characters to be concerned with. This is too much. I was about to give this up halfway through but I hung in there. It didn't get interesting until the last few chapters. I'm thinking if I want to even go on with this.

Loved it
I was mad at the beginning, but when Shayla got saved by Raegan, I got happy as hell. The K brothers turned it up on a knot and the story became explosive. Now that secrets are out, what's next?

Very Good
I like how fast paced the book was. Shay has been thru a lot. I am happy she met Kamery. I love all the characters Kaye and Reagan. Looking forward to reading pt 2.

Great read!
Yes child! What a read! I definitely would recommend this book. It was an interesting book that held my interest from beginning to end. The storyline was on point. It had you thinking to connect the dots and link everything together. The characters also complimented each other. They all had their little thing going on. Can't wait for part two. Good job!

Awesome book.. 5 stars
This book was really good from the beginning to the end. Shayla went through pure help with her so call boyfriend Jaxon. I'm so glad she met a real man like Kam, even though he did mess up that one time. I'm glad she gave him another chance. I also love Kaye and Reagan as a couple. I hope Shannon don't get himself caught up in no mess dipping out on his wife. That ending got me sitting on edge wanting to know what happened. Can't wait for part two.

I like this
This book was really good those double K brothers were everything but for some reason I liked Jeno he was so loyal and protective of everyone. Shay had to go through so much dealing with Jaxon sorry self I'm so glad Kam and her are together, Reagan and Kaye just are ment to be I love them together.

Great read
I absolutely loved this book. I loved the relationship that each couple had. The love that they showed towards each other was realistic. I hope that they catch up to Terrell and Allyna and kill them before they get them.

Wanting more
This book started off great the drama all the drama in this book had me on edge figuring wats goin to happen next. I can't believe jaxon treated shayla like he did then wanted her back after she had a good man on her team. The DRAMA continue on to part 2 NOW.
