I don't want it to end!!!!
This book seemed to notice how the previous one differed slightly and completely changed everything ! This was epic, all the first books, people and stories coming together in a near nonstop book full of action and time travel theory !!!
The action in this book is immense and the way that m.r. Forbes draws you into certain characters is brilliant, only for Watson to go and bloody spoil everything!! I cant stress enough how brilliant this story is and how everything is extremely complicated but easy to understand .
Brilliant book, now I don't want go finish the next, final book.

My head is spinning
Those of you that have read this series with me are going to love this one. I did not see the ending coming, and it throws a huge plot twist into the mix. And I am not going to spoil it either. The action is non stop, and frenetic, but there are lulls where the story expands. Who lives, who dies you will only find by reading.
Previous books were flawless while this had a few editing blunders but not many and they do not take away any stars. This book was awesome, I read it in a day and a half. As much as I don't want this series to end, I cannot wait for the final book. Bravo M.R. Forbes, Alfa out.

Colonel Mitchell and his Riggers had established a temporary base in a log cabin in the Olympic Mountains near Seattle. From there they decided they needed to find Watson’s core in order to shut him down. They didn’t know exactly where he might be, but a good place to start was a secure Nova Taurus facility. Mitchell and Katherine went into the building along with a few others, but didn’t find what they were looking for. They did find an amoebics plant producing lots of this deadly ammo. They shut it down, but not without a considerable fight.
Kathy and Michael were back at the remote cabin acting as a HQ for the Rigger teams. Extracting Mitchell and Katherine from the Nova Taurus facility wasn’t easy and getting everyone back to HQ was also complicated when that position came under attack. Watson had sent some of mercenaries to the mountains and they were just now engaging Kathy and Michael. Fortunately, one of the Rigger teams got back in time to stave off that attack and pickup Katy and Michael.
They then found another temporary base in the middle of no where, an old farm away from almost everything. It was owned and managed by two of Katy’s constructs. Yes, just like Watson, Kathy could construct new humans from organic matter, but these weren’t infected with Watson’s craziness and they didn’t know what they were either until they came into contact with Kathy. Still, having additional help for the Riggers was a blessing. At this new base camp they started to plan how to finish the fight in this timeline and get ready for the future.
Katherine was going to have to secure the Dove and get it launched. Once that was done, Mitchell and the Tetron Primitive, now called Teegin, would meet her so they could all launch into the future and another timeline. I guess. Some of this is pretty confusing. Anyway, it’s not going to be easy to steal the Dove. Watson knows they need it so he’s probably going to surround it with his minions.
And while that’s going on, Mitchell and Teegin will go look at another possible site for Watson’s core. This one is really in the middle of no where, the Atlantic Ocean to be exact, five hundred clicks southeast of Greenland. It’s hard to say which mission will be worse, that is if Watson’s core is anywhere near the identified sight. We do know that Katherine isn’t going to see anybody ever again if either mission goes sour!

Another great visit to the world of the Tetron. Some interesting twists and turns in this volume as we are prepared for the final battle with Watson for the fate of humanity. The author has matured and improved throughout the series, the characters have become richer, and the story line more cohesive. My only criticism is now that the bulk of the Riggers and some other great characters such as the detective are constructs (albeit of the good Tetron) the author has relegated them to the background and many were interesting characters in their own right that I enjoyed in the prior volumes. Overall, a very entertaining military/space opera series with the relatively unique wrinkle of time travel/recursions.

If time travel confuses you, you have to remember that this entire series about infinitely recursive iterations of time. time is not linear it loops over and over again so that some things have happened perhaps thousands of times before, ... but now "the Mesh is broken" and things cna be changed, and this book changes a LOT of things taken as "given" in the past. I really liked it!

Halfway between an 8/10: Excellent read, well written, fell right into the fictional world created & a 9/10: Fantastic, left me wanting more.

The story is progressing and the pace is still excellent. But we were still stuck on Earth for this one.
The next (and final) looks promising, though.
This has been an engaging series and I’ve devoured every book. I might still not quite understand recursion, but I love Mitchel.
Can’t wait to start the next!

An abrupt ending
I've got some issues with the story and don't know if it's an editing problem or intentional. The spaceship Dove, introduced in book 5, is now mainly called Goliath. But I thought the Goliath was the Xeno 1. It gets confusing. Otherwise a good story. Too many good people are sacrificed ongoing the way.

Totally awesome series of books by Forbes! Am now starting the 7th and final book and has me totally plugged in again within the first 5 pages. I like action and these books have fulfilled that continually. Put the great story line with it and you have a spellbinding action packed Sci-Fi that keeps you on your toes the whole way!

Definitely one of the better books in the series, that weaves a twisted tale. It doesn’t entirely avoid clunky expositions and deus ex machina - but it does a reasonable job of slowly ramping up the peril.

Still a great series
Glaring error in chapter 35. The vehicle the re using was hydrogen powered in 34 and nitrogen powered and exploded but nitrogen is inert keystone FYI

"Eternal Return" Eternally Boring
The lame, lazy, banal, and ultimately boring writing of Mr. Forbes, the author of "Eternal Return," has run the "War Eternal Series" into the ground.
Having read the preceding five (5) eBooks of the series, I comprehended the ups and downs of both the storyline and of the author. Time travel, the hackneyed writer's contrivance of being able to reset the plot over and over, gets old fast. Plus, the lazy writing of Mr. Forbes, poor proofreading, editing, and overall immature talent, comes once again in Book 6.
I bailed at about 45%, Chapter 26. It was just too bad. The author just throws things at the wall, hoping something will stick. He created a mediocre storyline initially, moved it erratically forward, and has in general just killed it. Time to call it, note the time.

Quite boring. A shame as the series started well, but the author clearly had no clear plan to the series and just feels like everything is rushed.

No lack of action here.
Best installment's in the series to date. REALLY looking forward to the next one. Tons of action and the thriller atmosphere kept the pages flying.

Great Sixth Volume in a Seven Volume Epic Military Space Opera
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: AS A SUPERB STORY IN AN EPIC TALE; FANTASTIC MILITARY SPACE OPERA, BOTH THIS SIXTH VOLUME AND THE ENTIRE SERIES.
Forbes wrote this sixth book in a slightly different voice than the previous five volumes. At first, it was uncomfortable, like an old friend who suddenly acts a little differently. However, in just a few pages, it settled into a new familiarity. This book deals with our protagonists jumping to a future recursion, trying to keep their past advantages and create new advantages in their war to protect the human race.
Not only do the human characters develop along with their (and our--the readers) growing understanding, but the artificial intelligence do as well.
