Cary Hart hails from the Midwest. A sassy, coffee drinking, sometimes sailor swearing, Spotify addict, lover of all things books!
When not pushing women down the stairs in the fictional world, Cary has her hands full. Soccer mom in all sense of the word to two wild and crazy, spoiled kiddos, and wife to the most supportive husband. In addition to writing full time, she enjoys binge watching Netflix, laying around in her hammock and baking up cookies for her family and friends.
Cary writes real, raw romance! In her stories the characters deal with life's everyday struggles and unwanted drama, they talk about the ugly and they become the broken. Everyone deserves a happy ending, but sometimes before you can appreciate the light, there has to be darkness.
Growing up, if someone would have told her she would become a writer, she wouldn't have believed them. It wasn't until she got her hands on her first romance novel, that the passion grew. Now she couldn't imagine her life any other way - she's living her dream.
The second in The Forever Series follows in its predecessors footsteps in creating a story filled with passion, romance, enough tension to keep things interesting and moving along quickly, and last but not least memorable characters who simply touch your heart.
Daisy is a woman trying to find herself, but she does so in the most unlikely of places...or persons, in Ferris. He becomes her forever, her driving force...at the same time she becomes his instrument for change. In each other, they find what it means to be truly happy. Along the way, the secondary characters will give you some very lighthearted moments...bring some hilarity to the forefront.
This book was provided by the author, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
Daisy's story. I fell in love with this Bohemian chica in book one of the series and was excited to see her story.
Ferris had one amazing night with a woman but they agreed not to share names. Finding she is his new assistant certainly puts an interesting twist on things as she is the one woman he can't get out of his head.
Secrets have a way of coming out at the most awkward of times and with these two each interaction steams up the pages even more and you just know that when they finally get together it will be epic!
I enjoyed seeing the story play out from Daisy and Ferris' perspectives and seeing the new light it shed on scenes from the previous book.
The epilogue does not make any sense, but other wise a decently enjoyable book. I enjoyed it more than the first book in the series, but I'm still pretty happy that I didn't pay for the book...
This book is about Daisy and Ferris who you meet in the first book of this series. Its a short story but it is packed full of romance. Daisy and Ferris meet and share one night together as strangers. They do not reveal their names. Now its weeks later and Daisy has a new job and her boss happens to be Ferris. There is much more to this story than just two lovers meeting up again but I don't want to spoil the story. I highly recommend reading this story. I really enjoyed it and loved Daisy and Ferris!!
This review is following the review from Book 1: Building Forever.
This book was even more fantastic and the characters just melted my heart.
I loved Cary Hart's use of both perspectives throughout the book and the way Cary drew me in with the use of secondary characters to show the strength in Ferris and Daisy. I cannot wait to see what is done with Lillian's character and Brian. Bet that's going to be a steamy read.
This is yet another lovely story by this author. I'm in love with her writing. This read gave me all the feels...a bit angsty/angry (Daisy is a bit stubborn, as is Ferris)....sweet, sad, and love. I love when a book can deliver it all...and to do it in a novella? Brilliant! Looking forward to more of her writing!!
Cary Hart you did it again. I loved this book. This book is an emotional rollercoaster ride. I cried and I laughed with the book. I recommend this book to everone
Daisy is a wonderful, sweet, klutzy woman that is trying to find her way in the world. On the night of her 21st birthday, she met a stranger on the beach & had one night with him. They promised to exchange names the next morning but when she woke up, he was gone. Her sister talked her colleague into giving Daisy a job. On her first day, she found out her new boss was her stranger. He's blowing so hot & cold that Daisy doesn't know what's going on. She has something to tell him & isn't sure how he will react.
Ferris has known Lillian since college but never considered her more than a colleague. When she asked him to hire her sister, he had no problem with it. Then he realized who it was. He still doesn't think they have a chance but he gets jealous when other guys give her attention. The chemistry is intense but he has to stay focused on business, doesn't he?
This is the second novella by Cary Hart in the St. Helena Kindle World. It can be read as a stand alone but reading Building Forever gives you the backstory on these characters. They were well developed in the first novella but they have added depth & definition. Ferris has to learn that he can balance a relationship & work without either suffering. Daisy needs to learn she is not a screwup & is worthy of love. This is a nice addition to the Kindle World & I enjoyed it.
Cary Hart's follow up to her debut book is just as steamy and sassy as the first! She's definitely making a name for herself in the romance world!
We first met Daisy and Ferris in book one, Building Forever and I'm so glad we get to hear their story. The stage was well set for this relationship in book one. Undeniable chemistry, check. Forbidden love, check check. Book 2, Saving Forever adds an element of mystery and heartache to the series, which is full of sexy moments and witty banter that we've come to expect from Ms. Hart.
In their story we find there's more than meets the eye with this beach loving, California wild child and her all work, no play, Mr Big shot business man... Proving never judge a book by its cover!
A great read that will capture you from the first page and take you on a wild ride, as another couple in the series tries to find their forever! While this is shorter in length than the first book, it's still packed full of story and emotion, showing Cary Hart's growth as both a writer and a story teller! Looking forward to reading more in this series and any other projects she puts out!
I loved that Daisy and Fisher were opposites. I loved that for one night, Daisy was able to get Fisher to live a little. They seemed to have more than just a connection until life happened. It was fun watching Fisher trying to resist Daisy after meeting again while Daisy had to join the workforce. I loved that Cameron kind of helped Fisher come to his senses, appealing to his jealous side. I loved getting Daisy's story, as she was fun and sweet in the first book, but was not a fan of the evil half-sister who seemed to constantly be on Fisher's arm. I kind of get her story after the fact, but Lillian was worse than a mean girl, especially to the sister that loved her. Loved the hilarious grandparents and that they had Daisy's best interests in mind. Loved this one!
Daisy and Fisher share a night of passion as they live in the moment without exchanging names and Fisher leaves the day after without a goodbye. However, he does leave Daisy with something she didn't expect. When she starts her new job that her sister, Lillian has pushed her into Daisy finds herself in an impossible situation as Fisher is her new boss. He tries to fight his attraction to her as she tries to come to terms with the changes in her life. Lillian throws a spanner in the works that throws everything off course. A fun and emotional read. Read an ARC for an honest review.
Daisy is a lovable girl next door. She trys to live life to the fullest. Ferris is the responsible man. All business no fun. When their worlds meet everything comes to life. Nonie and Pops are characters that make me want to be them. The are an inspiration and a complete joy. These books are stand alone in the series but highly recommend you read them all.
Cute fun read. Really made me want a cheesbuger! When you read the book, you might laugh, cry or just get the warm fuzzies. It is a faster read but does not skimp
Ferris. I was either swooning over his romantic attempts or wishing I could strangle him. Luckily swoony Ferris won out! Daisy is adorable! Feisty, klutzy, gorgeous. This novella is a great addition to the St. Helena World!
One stranger. One night. Promises made but not kept. What more could go wrong for Daisy? How about finding out your new boss is the stranger who rocked your world and who you hide your deepest secret from. Emotional highs and lows for both Ferris and Daisy and of course Lillian. Great read this novella is. Ferris needs to learn there is more to life than work and money, while Daisy just may be the one to remind him to live and love. Of course we even have a little bit of sibling rivalry to sweeten the pot. Well done!
A great follow up to Building Forever. Fast paced, sassy, witty , funny and at times I wanted to shake Daisy and Ferris. Daisy is a bohemian and Ferris is a slightly uptight businessman. Sparks fly when they have a one night stand at the beach , things get really fun when she takes a new job and Ferris is her boss. The first in the series was really good, this one is WOW, I can't wait to see what Ms. Hart comes up with for the next in this series. Ms. Hart is definitely being added to my list of favorite authors.
