A twist on so many different fairy tales it is almost hard to keep up, Daffodil is sort of like an erotic Mother Goose story. Anny Cook meshes just about every childhood fantasy into one neat package of three – the three daughters of Florian LeFleur. Of course as with most packages there is more than just the sexy wrapping on the outside. There are three books in this series but they can be read as a stand alone. However, I don’t think you’ll want to miss any of them.

The youngest of the three sisters, Daffodil has a tendency to be well…a witch to put it nicely – and a very demanding one at that. Even though her father thinks she’s submissive he has never seen her real side – the one Raulf the butler knows all too well.

The three sisters are carted off to Came-a-lot to make good marriages and get them out of their father’s hair, the same father who deserted them years before, and the same father who has very devious plans in work. Raulf who is determined to have Daffodil for his own, realizes his prized collection of “paraphernalia” is missing and follows after the girls to retrieve his property – Daffodil included.

Daffodil is a delightful romp through the Avalon country side. Replete with dragons, fairies, evil witches and trolls. There are of course the necessary extraordinarily sexy men and Ms. Cook makes sure there is no shortage in that department. The story goes up, down and sideways with intrigue, murder, and of course sex – and lots of it. The female characters are all very strong willed and downright feisty. A very steamy read, downright smoldering in fact, and one that will help you escape for a wonderfully erotic interlude.
