Jukebox Hits offers a cross-section of popular music from the fifties and sixties. The songs - all of them 'golden oldies' - include hits by Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan. The different chapters provide a basic knowledge of the history of rock music with photographs of the singers and groups throughout. The book gives excellent coverage of the history of pop music from the first rock and roll hits to the pop songs of the late sixties. The melodies are set in keys that make them easy to sing and they are accompanied by relatively easy instrumental parts.
