Weaverworld Trilogy #3

The Timekeeper's Solution

Rate this book
In this final book in the Weaverworld Trilogy, 14-year-old Jack Fisher is summoned back to Weaverworld on an urgent mission: he must help Rainbow Mudrake free her father -- the famous Bowmaker -- from the dungeon at Stranglespit Labyrinth. Once there, however, he fi nds himself enmeshed in a life-or-death struggle of epic proportions.

Hungry for power beyond imagining, the evil Grimsnipe is planning to breach the barrier between Weaverworld and the Realworld, a feat he means to achieve with the help of Jack's best friend, Simon Goldberg. He creates a fantastical amusement park to lure gullible Realies into paying huge sums of money for the adventure of a lifetime -- their last.

Jack is not alone on this voyage. His younger sister Jillian, and their dog, Hairy Spotter, are along for the ride, and friends -- old, new, and unexpected -- become essential to their survival. Among them is an eccentric Timekeeper who helps Jack confront the hardest decision of his life -- and the greatest sacrifice -- in order to save Weaverworld, and the girl he loves.

"While the Weaverworld books are clearly indebted to the Harry Potter series for their basic formula, Rohan makes an effort to put more life into her characters and take the story in a different direction...This book about a rebellion in a parallel world brings a solid series to a credible pitch of excitement..." -Kirkus Reviews

A wonderful end to an excellent trilogy! While this is children's fantasy fiction, and I am an adult, it was able to keep me excitedly entertained throughout. A fun, creative adventure with plenty of depth and heart. I definitely recommend this to all younger readers and to those adults who enjoy fantasy and want a fun, fast-paced read.
