When one man, who has no recollection of his past meets the only person who can help him discover who he is, a story of love, brutality, torture and forgiveness ensues. Lamia, a vampire who is trying to escape the torturous world of Janos who is an evil warlock, runs to the one man she believes can help her…Nemesis. Unfortunately, he has no recollection who she is or who he himself is for that matter. When the worlds of Lamia and Nemesis collide, the story takes us on a wild ride though time and back and the action never stops until the last page is turned. This was such a well written story filled with great detail and imagination and I definitely recommend it to anyone that is not only looking for a story about vampires but for a book that is both entertaining and enjoyable to read. I am looking forward to the future books in this series to continue on with the characters who I have come to love.

WOW! This first book in the Immortal War series knocked my socks off. We have vampires, demons, Gods and gargoyles all immersed in this spellbinding story. You meet the deity Nemesis who has a major problem to deal with and that is his lack of memory which needless to say causes a few problems. Then you have the vampire Lamia who has run to him for protection after years of excruciating pain and torture at the hands of the God Janos and unfortunately that doesn't seem to be such a great idea in hindsight. The two are them together are then thrown into the fight of their lives against Janos. Who will survive and at what cost? This is a must read for anyone who loves a fast paced, action packed story with compelling and intriguing characters in the supernatural genre. I have to admit that the lesser character demon Nyvek was one of my favourite characters and I hope to learn more about him in future books

A good gothic romance in the vein of Rice. If you like the supernatural and a torn romance between the angry anti hero and...well in this case she's an immortal vampire type.
