You know how you get antsy to get outside and just do something, anything to finally get out of the house or apartment? That's how Axel feels when he FINALLY gets a mission from Agent Omega that he can take BEAST and go!

The problem with leaving too fast, is you forget to stop to take a second and think and plan. So even though you left, you might find you forgot something or things just aren't going right. That's exactly what Axel finds out the hard way!

I enjoyed seeing the friendship between Axel and BEAST. I love that it shows how they work throughb challenges and learn from their mistakes.

My kids have been enjoying the series, but I was disappointed to learn that in book 4 the robot Beast actually turns out to be a homosexual robot. Yep. I was nauseated by the environmental premise of the evil corporation potentially blowing up a coral reef with a nuke, but this is just so sad and desperate. Is it really the purpose of fiction to instill a pseudo-morality?

This is a cute series. My son is working through it so I read it so I can discuss with him later. These 2 go on missions to try to take down an evil company. I think my son likes that the robot has "apps" that can change the robots form.

Shape shifting robot and his rescuer, friend, and team mate appear again in this second tale of action and adventure where the outcome is never really in doubt, but with enough entertainment value to gloss over the glaringly obvious plot.

Fun kids novel about a teenage boy and his robot friend saving the world. I enjoyed reading to my boys just as much as they enjoyed listening to it.

This series has helped my son enjoy chapter books. The plot keeps him interested, and there are pictures very few pages.
