The Scream

Rate this book
It is said that a butterfly flapping its wings in Rio might change the weather in Chicago. What, then, if you could go back in time and reverse a seemingly innocuous decision? What if you could get Adolf Hitler accepted to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts? That is the question which Vince DeLuca, 62 year old high school History teacher, is compelled to answer in The Scream.
Beginning with a class discussion about Edvard Munch's iconic painting, the story soon takes a series of eerie twists and turns which give DeLuca much to scream about. When he and his class are inexplicably thrown into the past and back again, his life flies off the rails. Relieved of his teaching duties and suffering from a strange illness, DeLuca sets off on a quest to understand what is happening to him. The journey becomes a thought-provoking trip through time and existence itself.
