Some are brothers. Some are friends. All are the best.
As our couples turn to the special people in their lives who were there for them during the worst of the worst, and extend their honored requests, the Phoenix family begin to make room for a new member who may be holding back the truth of how badly he was abused.
Note: This is an M/M romance and should be read by readers 18yo and above only.
Born and raised in scenic Coos County, Oregon, CJ enjoys the small town atmosphere and down-to-earth country folk who populate the area. She is a single mother and lives with her 18-year-old daughter, 1 horse, 4 dogs and 6 cats deep in the country woodlands which gives her plenty of time to write.
She is a Christian and a strong supporter of the LGBT community and favors gay erotic romance when it comes to writing. She hopes that her stories of love and acceptance will help further compassion and understanding for LGBT people who she feels is greatly misunderstood and persecuted - in a large party by the Christian community.
Most of all, she is hopeful that her stories will bring comfort to those who have been told that God hates them because they are different. It is her strong belief that God loves everyone and His love covers all.
*** The boys are back ! *** This amazing series continues with a thought-filled episode where the couples to be married are asking different friends and family to be their "best man". In between the asking, we have Dr. Devlin and Abel bringing Noah home to safety. Abel punches belt wielding evil Dad, and "cowboy" shows up and impresses everyone with his fierceness. Yet, he's tender and concerned for poor young Noah, 14, who is in awe of the man who defeated his mean dad. He was tired of the fear, beatings, and neglect. Now he has hope, but still carries a secret. We get a glimpse of Nolan's fiancé, but do not learn yet, what she's holding over Nolan's head. Hmmm. Questions arise about what else may have happened to Noah. We have a steady paced, flowing plot that we learn so much from, and of course, more hot sexiness ! This group of men are woven together through their ties, pasts, understanding and the deep set feelings. There is constant forward movement to their futures. Then a mysterious phone call, by Noah, someone else needs help, too ! GASP ! Cliffhanger. ENJOY ! ==================== These stories in this series DO need to be read in order.
Okay this is another ridiculously short story surrounding the weddings of eight of our Phoenix Club boys mostly surrounding them picking their Best Man and continuing the family dramas.
There's not much in the way of sexy scenes but what's there is the usual hot stuff you'd expect in this series. I suspect all these shorts will eventually be issued in a single volume special collection where you won't have to wait for the cliff hangers to be addressed or new mysteries unravelled!
Again this book ends kind of abruptly, but it’s part of a series. I highly recommend that if you’re going to read this series that you just buy the bundle of all 6 books. They really should have been published as one anyway. (At least the first few that I’ve read so far.)
The use of the words “cum juice” and “member” were definitely not sexy imho, and didn’t sit well with me, but they’re used quite frequently in this series. I don’t remember them used in the previous Phoenix books.
These books are not stand-alones and contain many, many grammatical errors and typos. You’ll have to overlook those throughout all the Phoenix books. But they’re great, gritty stories and very hot.
Ok so I'm actually really enjoying these books and I love all the couple's but there is just so much rape in these books it's insane. And what is with all the preaching about God. If they truly believe that God is responsible for what's happening in their lives then they need to set the Cowboy on God. Cause obviously God's a douche. No offense...
The Best Man - love and tenderness engendered by compassion and perhaps being there at the right time.
A wedding is a solemn and spiritual occasion. Each of the grooms recalls the special bonding moment that solidified the relationship they have with the special men that they ask to stand up as their best man. Meanwhile, as Noah adjusts to the possibility of a real home he admits to Jim Evers asexually assaulting him. But is he the only one?
I love this series. I am glad to say that I am happy that all of this set of Phoenix wedding were already out when I started reading them because it would have driven me nuts not to finish one and then be able to start on the next one. Awesome characters. I am loving all the boys and girls.
I've been reading this series from the beginning and look forward to every new book. The characters are very three-dimensional and you can't help but fall in love with them. You will laugh, cry, get angry, get happy and sigh in relief as you follow the Men of the Phoenix Club and those they love through the perils and joys of living life and loving each other
I love these boys and men. Love this family. Love this series. Jesus what some one these poor innocent boys have been through is just gut renching. The abuse most probably couldn't survive, but these sweet boys do, and together they fight for it, fight to survive, fight to live, fight to love, aND fight for the truly awesome family they've become. Amazing story and I'm dying to see what Noah's story brings.... FANTASTIC
Can't wait to see what happens next. You have the four couples who are getting married. All the other stories going on also. Grid and Nolan are a couple I would love to see happen. Then you have Noah and his health issue with his leg and the ending with him. Just to much going on that I don't want to Dumbledore everyone gets it read.
Another addition that had my heart pumping out my chest, even though this was shorter then I like but so worth the wait. I love that we got more and deep emotions from each couple asking their one true guy as their best man. Each of these couples hold a place in my heart and even the new comers has taken root. More more more :)
Brilliant. Loving these books. Love the Phoenix boys. Can't wait the next book in the series. All of the Phoenix club books are so well written. They are very addictive.
Even so far into this series and we're still getting little cliffhangers and meeting new characters. I do enjoy these little novellas. I'd like to keep reading them until all the characters are old and grey.
Slowly but surely, this series is getting slightly darker as it goes along. I'm loving it, loving seeing new relationships starting to form, old scores being settled, and people finding closure. LOVE THESE BOYS SO MUCH !!!
