Paranormal Days

Rate this book
The life of werewolves, vampires, and witches isn't always danger at every corner and saving the world every couple of months. Sometimes, it's simply settling into a new job and meeting a cute coworker… trying to write a book and getting snow in with an old flame… helping out family and meeting a cute hotel clerk… and enduring a shitty job for the chance at a better life.

Megan is a long time resident of queer romance and keeps herself busy reading and writing it. She is often accused of fluff and nonsense. When she’s not involved in writing, she likes to cook, harass her wife and cats, or watch movies. She loves to hear from readers and can be found all over the internet.

WHen the paranormal is more normal, it is absolutely adorable.

I loved this collection of stories. From having to deal with crappy jobs, difficult exes, and uncertain relationships, these guys have a mix of paranormal that sometimes complicates things and other times is just a part of life. A vamp needs to drink a bit of blood, but that doesn't mean he's wants to snack on his coworkers when he'd have to face them later. A werewolf may run around in the full moon, but the rest of the time he's got bills to pay and food to get on the table. It was a really great collection and each of the couples worked through challenges that were normal with just a dash of paranormal. Great read!

I have yet to meet a Megan Derr story that wasn't worth reading, but some of them I only need to read once. This anthology was one of those for me. It contains four stories spread over 240 pages. 1) Quality Assurance 2) The Werewolf of Grey Lake Inn 3) Beach Remedy 4) Herbal Remedy. Quick reads. I prefer Megan Derr's stories that have more action and drama in them. Guess I'm an adrenaline reader. Good read for a lazy day and when you need to be able to put the book down quickly to do something else. Won't keep you at the edge of your seat.
