I Don't Want the Rest of Your Life

Rate this book
When the guy Lorylyn Porter thought was the love of her life tells her he's engaged, her world collapses. It doesn't matter that she married somebody else five years ago, or that she still keeps in touch with a fling from a summer on Martha's Vineyard, or that she fantasizes about another guy she might love more than all of them.

As she fights to move on from the news, write a dissertation on her own theory of love, and become the person she wants to be, her past and present love stories collide alongside those of her Zibby, who's had two weddings, but only one her family knows about; Jansen, whose developing relationship with one of her closest guy friends will force her to choose either what they have or a future that might not exist with the most important guy in her life; and Kylar, who loves three guys but can't seem to get things to work with any of them.

Amid ghosts from the past, conflicting feelings, and blurred lines, the girls will discover that no matter how much you love a guy, sometimes that heartbreaking moment of clarity comes along when you realize the best part of the relationship is over, and you don't want the rest of his life.

I am a YA and women's fiction author. I love writing because I get to capture emotions people feel in everyday life and play with my readers' emotions! ;) I write characters people can relate to, and I almost always end a book with a cliffhanger to keep my readers coming back. Plus, life is always better with a little suspense! ;) My books are mostly about relationships and everyday life, with some extra plot twists thrown in for fun! My characters reappear from one novel to the next, and even when they're not main characters in the current book, you can still get updates on their lives. I travel whenever I can, I love animals and helping animal organizations, and I am slightly obsessed w/ men's pro tennis, the shows Revenge and Friends, the Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight movie trilogy, the 1920s, New York City, Paris, song lyrics, and many many books! :) You can find me online at: daisyjordan.com, facebook.com/AuthorDaisyJordan, twitter.com/daisyjordan06 (@daisyjordan06), authordaisyjordan.wordpress.com, and pinterest.com/daisyjordan06.

“Hey, this is Holly, my fiancée.”

With those words, hearing that the love of her life is engaged, Lorylyn Porter’s world falls apart, and she falls into bed with her ex-husband. //I Don’t Want the Rest of Your Life// by Daisy Jordan continues the adventures of heroine Lorylyn and her college roommates and partners in crime, girlfriends Zibby, Jansen, and Kylar. Each young woman has her own man troubles and conflicting feelings, especially Lorylyn over her engaged ex, even though she’s been married to someone else, and divorced, fantasizes about an old fling, and another mysterious guy lurks in the background who she’s convinced she might love more than the rest of them.

An enthusiastic story, //I Don’t Want the Rest of Your Life// is a trip back to what the popular frat girls loved about college. Booze, boys, gossip, and partying abound in this exploration of relationships, especially when relationships fail. Along the way, the girls learn that when the best part of the relationship has passed, you might not want the rest of his life. //I Don’t Want the Rest of Your Life// is a mildly diverting summer beach read full of self-exploration and summer flings.
