Zero F*cks

Rate this book
I fell in love with Cameron Hollis the moment I laid eyes on her.
She was everything to me.
We had nothing but a clean slate ahead of us, until the day I made the biggest mistake of my life.
I let her go. It was for her own good…at least that’s what I told myself.
That was five years ago, now my tour is over, and I’m home.
Nothing matters without her.
But I won’t go after her, the guilt I have is too much to face.
I lied…about so many things, she’ll never look at me the same way.
Zero f*cks, that’s how I live now.

Part of me died the day Nixon Andrews broke my f*cking heart.
He became a Navy Seal and then decided the course of my future, like he had the f*ckin’ power.
Why?
Because he didn’t want to see me end up hurt. He was protecting me…from him.
But I didn’t need protecting, I just needed Nixon.
Even if he was halfway across the world, I needed to know that no matter what, we were going to be okay.
That was five years ago and still not a single word from him…

Warning,
This is NOT two people romancing their teenage love story.
No.
He left her to go to the army, instantly forgetting her.
SHE missed him for years.
After five years he came back without conacting her...

Hunk of a burning love, this dude.

*************************

Ok, so the love story of epic proportion began with the hero and heroine having sweaty sex with... other people.
Great start.

It continued with the douchebag of a hero saying this:
"Maybe she doesn’t want to be around me because she still can’t let me go, which is no way to live, in my opinion. But it’s not my fucking life…it’s hers".
He was so fucking trashy, I gagged.

And than he goes to the bar to find someone to fuck, he finds a waitress and went with her, all eager, to the bathroom.
IN FRONT of the heroine eyes.

Becauze yeah, this is the right way to make the readers beleive in their great great chemistry.

Done.

I seriously love second chance love stories. I love the way they tug at your heart, the way they hurt your soul, but mostly the way they show you, that against all odds, true love will endure the test of time. ZERO F*CKS really was that kinda book to me & I loved it.

Nixon - From the get go I couldn’t help fall for Nixon, god that man is arrogant, cocky & so damn sexy, but there was something else about him that I just couldn’t resist. He is broken, full of regret & the only way he knows how to survive his life outside of the Navy is literally by giving ZERO F*CKS. He is a dirty boy & honestly I laughed loads at his antics & smooth talking ways that see him think with his dick & not give two shits about anything else. He knows he let the best thing go 5 years ago in a vain attempt to save her from certain heartache. & he has had to live with the biggest regrets over those years, wondering now if it was even worth it. The best he can do is live 1 day at a time, move forward, hide the pain & see what tomorrow brings. Funny thing is, he didn’t have a clue that one of those tomorrows would bring Cameron Hollis back into his life in all of her beautiful glory, spewing hate & anger like it’s going out of fashion. She is mad, pissed & as hot as hell. He knows he doesn’t deserve a second chance – but there’s no way in hell, he can let the girl of his dreams walk away this time.

Cam – This girl is a powerhouse! Fierce, passionate, strong-willed & sassy. The past 5 years of her life have left an undeniable mark on her heart & soul, one she never thought she could survive. Love & betrayal are things she is well versed in & has the emotional scars hidden away to prove it. But life goes on & she has a career she loves – hell she is even contemplating a relationship. Until she finds herself facing the one person she never wanted to see again, the man who broke her damned heart into a million pieces. Oozing sex appeal, toned, ripped & utterly mouth-watering, he ignites a fire deep within & 5 years of anger, hate, hurt, pain burn to the surface. She hates him, but she loves him & no matter how hard she tries to avoid Nixon Andrews, she knows it’s futile – because love is a bitch & it takes no prisoners.

Their journey had me laughing & hurting from start to finish. I’m such a sucker for damaged souls, so it was no surprise how hard I loved this beautiful couple. LK’s character development helped fill in the pieces of the puzzle, I didn’t even know I was missing - the actions of the past, the consequences on the future & the bravery it takes to draw a line in the sand & live each day as it comes, embracing the joy, love & laughter instead of fearing the hurt, pain & loss.

Lk gave me so much more than a cocky alpha (even though I have to admit that he is a top draw hottie). I didn’t expect to feel so joined to Cam & Nix, to feel so much sadness & pain for them at their lowest points, but then feel so full of genuine happiness & contentment at their highest highs. Just a sweet, perfectly written, second chance story of love lost but never forgotten.

Cameron Hollis has spent the past five years trying to rebuild her life and protect her heart at the same time. Now a successful woman working with a helicopter rescue team in the Coast Guard she is thinking she might be ready to put herself and her heart back out there. When the fun and games one night turn into a smokin' hot encounter with her work partner and friend Luke, Cam thinks maybe they have a chance at something more. What she never expected to happen was coming face to face with her childhood best friend and ex-boyfriend just days later.

Nixon Andrews did the unthinkable, he walked away from the best thing to happen to him, leaving her with not just a broken heart, but a whole lot of hatred towards him as well. When Nixon finds himself as the newest team member on Cameron's crew, he has to come to terms with just what he did to her. Now he lives life on his terms. He never lacks for a bed partner and no matter how hard he seems to try and apologize, he keeps getting the brush off. But how long can that last? Will he get the second chance that he really wants with Cam? Can he prove to her that he had her best interests at heart? Grab this second chance romance and get sucked into this quick, sexy, second chance romance from the awesome husband and wife writing duo, L.K. Collins. This is the first book I have had the chance to read by them and I enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of their work.

Cameron Hollis is a hot, successful woman in the Coast Guard, who spends her days rescuing people. There's just one thing missing, part of her heart has been dead, since the day the love of her life, Nixon, dumps her as he's leaving to become a Navy Seal. If that isn't bad enough, he talked her brother into going with, so Cam was left by more than one person that day. Now five years later, she still hasn't let any man close to her, but as she finally decides to try something with a coworker, in walks Nixon, as the replacement on her team. Nixon Andrews fell in love with Cameron the moment he met her, and she was everything to him. The future was bright for them, until the stupid choice to let her go, became the biggest mistake of his life. He was never quite the same, and when he gets kicked out of the Navy, he comes home even worse off, as surfing, booze, and random women is all he cares about. He takes this new job, never thinking that he would end up working with the girl he never got over. Nixon believes that he's no good for her, but as he spends time with her again, will he get her to forgive him?

This author is, simply put, a beast! She can write books at a fast pace, that are amazing, and yet, never ever like the one before! I was one big mass of conflicting emotions reading this story, as Nixon is new breed of the dirty talking alpha that I'm not used to reading about. He made me so mad for half the book with his douche attitude, (and trust me, he needed to be punched in his junk), but then I found my eyes leaking at a few things, and cheering for him by the end! The character development is fantastic, with a great, and colorful cast of secondaries. HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN! The flammable chemistry tried to overheat my kindle, and EXPLODED into FIERY FLAMES of sexy scene goodness, that's guaranteed to leave panties in a pile of ashes before it can be put out! (I'm having a hot flash just trying to type the small description.) LK Collins, you know I'm a huge fan who thinks you're brilliant, but seriously, after the evil twist, ( My eyes leaked incessantly at that btw), I called you some choice colorful metaphors, and contemplated breaking up with you! However, I'm not sure that I would survive the withdrawal, as I'm very addicted to your writing! Anyway, enough of my dramatic girly girl emotional fan girl gushing, I'll just HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AWESOME STORY TO ALL!

HOLY SH*T. LK Collins strikes again. This book. OMG. THIS BOOK!! When you read a book that can hit every aspect of what you look for in a book, it will grab your heart and take you on a journey, and boy oh boy did I go on a journey. This book was hot as sin and equally heartgripping. LK has a way to tear your heart out and replace it tenfold. This book is also a quick read because you won't put it down once you pick it up. I can't wait to see what's next.

Zero F*cks was Freakin' Amazing!! I loved Nixon and Cameron!

I Love Love Loved Zero F*cks!!! Nixon is easy to love and hard to hate no matter how much he pisses you off in the beginning! Loved Nixon and Cameron's second chance romance.

Nixon is a sexy beast in the sheets! Wow. Zero F*cks had one of the craziest sexy time scenes i have ever read. Is it really possible...to do that...on a surfboard...in the middle of the ocean?

Five years ago Nixon signed up for the Navy to carry on his dads legacy after his dad died overseas. He not only took Cameron's heart with him leaving her empty but he also took her brother with him. After five years spent in the Navy a situation occurs that gets Nixon let go. Now he's back and Cameron is not happy especially due to the fact that he has joined her coast guard rescue crew.

I loved the fact that this story centers around an ex Navy Seal (Nixon) who is forced to face his problems and situations he left back home. I realized one thing while reading Zero F*cks and that is Regret is a bitch when you are forced to face it head on.

I'm not going to lie, at first i had very strong feelings that were borderline hate for Nixon. I hated the way he treated Cameron. I hated the things he would whisper to her. But then we got a glimpse in the mind of Nixon with his POV and it all made sense. He was such an ass because he lived on a day to day basis of regret. My hatred for Nixon quickly turned into respect of his situation.

I felt horrible for Cameron. Just when she starts to move on from Nixon and form a connection with someone new here he comes walking back in her life.

I loved the scenes where Cameron and her brother Connor (who was stationed overseas) would have their video call sessions. I loved how close the three of them still are even though there was a big elephant in the room.

You know in novels when it comes to the point of the twist and you know its coming so you try to prepare yourself for it. Yeah the twist in this novel there is no preparing yourself for. I wasn't expecting a plot twist to literally crush my soul as it has done. My heart is smashed to pieces and the downside to this twist is there was no mending my heart or fixing the damage that is done. I'm still teary eyed thinking about it.

I highly recommend this to all the romance book lovers that love second chance romance novels. Take a chance on Nixon and Cameron's story, it's simply amazing!

Don’t be fooled by the title of this book, because Zero F*cks by L.K. Collins is definitely something you should give a million F*cks about. This book was a bit more romantic and loving then her other books, but who doesn’t adore a book that gives you all the feels. Plus, with a dose of drama, this book has everything you could need for a great read. You will be absorbed by Cameron and Nixon’s love despite the trials and tribulations that they face. Time and space may come between them, but when love is as real and true as theirs, nothing can tear them apart (at least not forever). Cameron was such a wonderful character. She is tough and resilient, and though she is dealt a tough set of cards, she doesn’t let her circumstances tear her down. She is also incredibly brave. As a member of the Coast Guard, it is her duty to risk her life in order to save others. Without hesitation she jumps from helicopters into the ruthless ocean to give others a second chance at life. We only wish we were as brave as her. Nixon’s character was quite the charmer as well. He is the perfect mixture of confidence and vulnerability that it’s easy to be drawn to him, and even easier to crave Cameron and Nixon’s connection. We don’t want to give away any spoilers, but the ending was so incredibly satisfying. It was like taking a bite of delicious chocolate cake after dieting for a month...perfection. We can’t wait for you all to read and enjoy Zero F*cks! We hope you love it as much as we did. L.K. Collins is a terrific writer who never fails to deliver the perfect story; we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. As always, thank you for being so awesome, we really appreciate you always allowing Sassy Sisters to enjoy your amazing books.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

HOLY DAMN. I swear it got like 1000 degrees hotter in here. And somehow, L. K. Collins managed to keep getting hotter! I loved this! Loved the storyline and the characters. Not gonna lie. I was a bit weirded out since the hero shares the same name as my dad. So that weirded me out when there supernova sex scenes going. But that's all on me, nothing to do with the author.

I don't know what it was about the book but it felt rushed and I felt like some of the emotion during some parts were forced and weren't described properly because even though the words were there, I wasn't feeling the mood. But then there were some parts that had me bawling my eyes out.

Nixon and Cameron. What a couple. Their love is so strong for each other even after years of separation, it's like they never left each other. It was so amazing to be able to read that happening. I hated the way it ended. Not to say that I didn't love the ending, but more, I expected a lot more from the book and then suddenly it just cut off and went to the epilogue. But I loved it nonetheless.

If you're looking for some super hot sex and a hero who just about makes me want to blow my load, this is the book for you.

It's no secret that LK is in my top 5 favorite authors of all times. Every story she writes drags you kicking and screaming through trial after trial only to leave you blissfully happy for the new fictional friends you made.
Nixon is cocky, arrogant to the max, and sexy as hell. He knows it too. He has a silver tongue and backs every bit of it up. He makes decisions giving zero f*cks about the consequences. After loosing the best thing to ever happen to him, he hides his pain behind all his good looks and cocky behavior. It all works until Cameron Hollis comes back into his life like a hurricane. A very pissed off hurricane. After five years of moving past he man who shattered her heart, seeing him again tears the wound back open. But what is love if you can't give it a second shot? Between Cam's spitfire attitude and Nixon's over the top sexy self, the characters are perfection. When you add in the amazing story and can feel the emotions, the book is everything I look in a book. This book made me swoon, cry, throw a massive tantrum, then sigh in complete contentment. Another victory for this amazing author!

This was my first LK Collins novel, which I really enjoyed.

This is all about a second chance at love. Nixon with his girlfriend Cameron and her brother Connor all grew up together, were wild and loved it, Cami thought Nixon was her forever, until Nixon and Connor left without warning to join the Navy Seals.

5 years later and Cami works for the Coast Guard, Connor is still a Seal, but Nixon, well he shows up a Cami's place of work to replace one of her colleagues. She is not best pleased!! Its taken all this time for her to get over Nixon and move on and now he has reappeared, same as ever, just older and more handsome, cocky, arrogant, and her world is turned upside down.

Cami is a real firecracker, strong willed, sassy and passionate. She loves her work and her colleagues, works hard and plays hard.

Nixon is arrogant, cocky and full of himself, but he is also full of regret and hurt, and he gets on in life by not caring.

Good story line, lots of hot dirty sexy scenes, although there is a bit of a love triangle thing going on, and I do end up feeling sorry for Luke. Will definitely read more LK Collins books.

“You’re my weakness. You always have been, and you always will be.”

Cameron and Nixon were childhood friends and then teenage sweethearts, until Nixon broke her heart by enlisting in the navy, and taking her brother along with him.

They haven’t seen one another for about six years, when Nixon turns up as the new member of her coast guard rescue team, just as Cam is thinking of starting a new relationship with her teammate, Luke.

Nixon’s return stirs up all her old emotions – her hurt, her hate, her lust, her love. However, the man that Nixon has become is a far cry from the boy she knew – ravaged by his experiences as a SEAL, and changed by the grief he has suffered.

“The truth is, I want everything that there is and more with her, and only her…she is my forever.”

Cameron’s love and commitment to him helps him to heal, one day at a time, but he needs to prove that he’s in it for the long haul, especially when a tragedy rocks their world.

This was a great second chance romance. It was sexy and raw, against an exciting backdrop.

They grew up together, they were a trio, until they weren't. Until they both left her behind, broken heart and angry that was what Cameron was and is till this day about her brother and her ex leaving her. Now she is an adult and loves talking to her brother, Conner, who is a Navy Seal. She couldn't be prouder and yet she still can't forgive Nixon. Then the last thing she needed happens.
Nixon has lived with the regret of breaking the heart of the one girl he knew was it for him. But he had to do it. Never thought he would see her again, then fate stepped in and changed their lives for ever.
I love reading second chance books, I mean they break my heart and fill it with excitement and anticipation all at once. I mean the excitement of a rekindle and the anticipation of the WOW moment when it all clicks in the heads and hearts. That is what I got in this amazing read and so much more. I got drama, danger suspense, tears, and steam coming off my reader every time Nixon and Cam got together. Perfection! L.K Collins blew this out of the water!

4 Fate Stars

Cameron Hollis and Nixon Andrews grew up together, along with her brother and his best friend, Conner Hollis. But when Nixon and Conner joined the Navy becoming SEAL's five years ago, they left Cameron alone in Florida, breaking her heart. Cameron lost both her love and her brother when they left.

When Nixon shows up as a new member of her Coast Guard team, it will take a herculean effort on Cameron's part to not only work with Nixon, but to work past the hurt and the pain of him leaving and taking her brother with him.

Though Cameron thought she was moving on, it only takes a little prodding from Nixon to work things out, for the two of them to get back to where they were.

But when tragedy strikes and their lives are at risk, they make a life altering decision to live differently.

I really enjoyed this story, although it was very sad in parts, making me cry.

Thank you L.K. Collins for letting me be part of the review team. I can't wait for more from you.

I really want to love this book because I love LK Collins sexy alpha males. So while I liked Nixon's character, I wanted more and I felt there could have been so much more to him. His backstory provided so much to make him a more complex character but I felt it wasn't there.
I did love the premise of the book with Cameron, the heroine, being a Coast Guard officer. That was different and something I haven't read before. I also enjoyed the conflict of the story and was surprised how it played out-- opposite to what I normally read happening. I did enjoy the banter between Nixon and Cameron and found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
The ending surprised me and I felt it was a good twist. I would've liked to have seen more of the Zero F*cks build up to make this ending have that little extra oomph factor.
Overall, the story was a decent read but for me, I wanted more and felt that LK Collins has done that with her previous books. I felt this one was a bit rushed.

Another 4 1/2 Stars for a LK Collins book! Her books are just great ... I have not been disappointed yet!

Nixon ... what can I say, I wanted to kick him in the b*lls ... he is such an arrogant a$$! But then he would go and do or say something nice, and my heart would melt. Cam ... she is one tough woman, except when it comes to Nixon or her brother Connor. Neither Nixon or Cam have forgotten their attraction when they were young and it is only stronger now that they are older. This book is so intense, I couldn't put it down. A very emotional, fun, sexy read! I highly recommend this book.

As many of you know i am a sucker for a second chance romance story, and one where the passion still burs as brightly as i did before they left well that is a sure fire read for me. This book is hot passionate and that is just the characters as themselves singularly but also together they are an inferno. Loved Cameron as a character so much a little fire cracker and Nixon he is a hot alpha with a soft centre underneath. If you are new to L.K. Collins i would recommend this book, and even if you are a fan i would recommend it

well beyond 5 stars ..... This book exceeds everything you would look for in a second chance romance novel. It's a story about 3 people close knit best friends 2 siblings , all best friends who grew up together , only Nixon and Cam fell in love early on , the guys decide to leave and join the Navy without telling anyone causing major upset and heartache all around. when Nixon returns he has issues of his own to work through. without giving away the book I'll say it's definitely worth the 5 plus stars

I have read several books by L.K. Collins now and I love the fact that she never disappoints. I know when I pick up one of her books that I am going to get a great story with characters I can connect with. Zero F*cks is exactly the kind of story you expect from L.K. Collins. Cameron and Nixon's story is an amazing story of heartbreak, mistakes, forgiveness and love. The ending was just adorable and it was one I didn't really see coming. Totally loved it! :)

Hoe Do You Learn to Move On?

Cameron took awhile to warm up to...she was a smidge too amped up given what we knew of her past. Similarly, Nixon was questionable, like, why would she still even want him? But as they settle into reconnecting, the characters even out and build a semisweet, semi-intense, second chance love affair. The ending went in a totally different direction than I anticipated, and that was refreshing. The crew's friendship was really sweet.

This book was so cute. I really love Nixon. After leaving to join the Navy when he got back he worked hard to make it up to Cameron and I love that.
