When terraforming, two things are inevitable, mistakes and those who clean them. Toxic atmospheres, parasites, contagions, abominations in space, on land or at sea; In a space opera, it ain’t over until the Exploration and Extinction Force says it’s over.
EPISODES 1-10. Over 600 pages of space marines!
In the ever expanding Hiberverse, space becomes a commodity. The responsibility of taming it falls on the Exploration and Extinction Force, a private military trained to get the job done no matter the setting. Toxic atmospheres, parasites, contagions, abominations in space, on land or at sea, Commander Otto Jaeger learned long ago the client is often the most dangerous foe.
When Jaeger and his squad are hired to investigate a containment breach on Primal Instinct, a planet inhabited by dinosaurs, they quickly learn that nothing is as it seems. To force their extraction, Jaeger will have to finish the job while staying one step ahead of those determined to eliminate all loose ends, including him and his squad.
Meanwhile, Jaeger's recently transferred daughter, Dalia, must battle hostile environs and family betrayal to aid her father and uncover the larger plot that could shift the balance of power across the Hiberverse. In a space opera, it ain’t over until the Exploration and Extinction Force says it’s over.
We were human, once. When humankind discovers Biomimetic Dark Matter, a universal element capable of assuming any natural characteristic, the possibilities unleash a destiny fueled by desires for power and immortality. Willing to forget our past in order to achieve our darkest dreams, humankind evolves into an advanced race known as Hibernarii.
After splintering into warring factions, the Hibernarii exhaust supplies of BDM and push the universe to the brink of cataclysm. When ancient and new powers clash, nature will inevitably restore balance--with humanity, or without it.
Raised in Central Texas, David Mark Brown learned to ride horses at a young age. Then learned to hate them after a disastrous attempt to impress a girlfriend. He was five.
Turning instead to a life of poetry and prose he eventually migrated north to the University of Montana (the Berkeley of the Rockies) and became the Redneck Granola.
Falling in love a chainsaw wielding mountain woman forced him to reconsider his chosen career path--Hemingway on a sailboat. Instead he illuminated the path of life to college students as a spiritual guide for over a dozen years while his wife (now a pharmacist) squirreled away enough acorns for David to embrace the sultry world of commercial fiction.
After legally snatching a little Vietnamese boy and creating another son via more natural means, the happy family settled in Idaho. David still rides horses, but only in black and never for fun.
