Shea was born in Tampa, Florida, but grew up in the Midwest and northeast. An early love of reading, and very active imagination, led to him learning to write and make up his own stories.

He is the author of "Noble: A Faerie Tale," and the recently released sequel, "Brave."

Definitely written for young adults but a very good read. The footnotes were informative and fun.
