This is a club esoteria novel. Very short so you can't expect sub plots or lots of character development, but you can expect a lusty little Dom/sub tale. It's cute. I like them. I keep buying them.
They'd be better, longer and more fleshed out. This isn't shadowlands... but it can help tide me over during the wait.

Gunner is going to be speechless somewhat when he encounters a submissive ready to be taken in a sex club.
This story just pulled me in and did not let me go. The characters were so intense and well developed that it was amazing. Master Gunner was a total Dom but seemed surprised for his first encounter with Jillian, because no one had ever done want she did to him. I left sorry for him because he was into Jillian but good things come to those who wait. But it gets even better when they both realize that they will be working together in order to gave Jillian’s family business. Love how Jillian was able to give so much to Gunner not even realizing if he even had any feeling for her but at least she wanted to learn how to become a good submissive. Jillian seemed so content with herself but when it came to her relationship with her father she hesitates and becomes insecure. That was my only draw back with her character but Gunner made her realize that she needed to come to some understanding with her father and stand up for herself. I loved how Gunner made her feel secure and feel beautiful about herself. Okay, let’s talk about their passionate love making and you might want to be ready with something to fan yourself off with. You will be burning up in just reading about Gunner’s passion for Jillian and vise versa. It was amazing.
If you’re in the mood for a little light BDSM that still makes you squirm in your seat, this is the perfect book for you to read. As soon as you start reading this story you will be so drawn into it that you will get lost in time and by the time you know it the happily ever after has come. You’ll love it.

It's Jillian's thirtieth birthday and her best friend Blaze isn't going to go along with the idea of a bottle of wine and a good book to celebrate. Blaze is determined to get her friend laid, so it's off to the private Club Esoteria in search of a good Dom to make this "old" girl feel alive. Jillian is a novice when it comes to the submissive lifestyle but she is curious and decides to play along. Master G is on the hunt for a submissive. And then in walks Jillian. Tall, curvaceous and totally stunning she captivates him. The two share some passion and then Jillian flees while Gunner sleeps. Monday morning she has put her temporary loss of sanity behind her and she steps into her father's business ready to convince Gunner McNeill that he should invest in their business and save them from financial ruin. Little did she know that Gunner McNeill is none other than Master G and if she wants to have a new partner in business she's going to be having one in bed this week too. I liked this story a lot it was just too short and was a few details short for me, but I love reading this series.

Jillian is so submissive that she makes other submissives seem like Doms. But is she ready to accept what that means? Or will it take a special kind of Dom to be Jillian’s Master? This is the fifth story in Cooper McKenzie’s Club Esoteria series. And it can be read as a stand alone. I found myself identifying with Jillian. She was being run a bit ragged as she covered for her father, a chauvinist, as she tried to save the company that had been in her family for generations. She was working to please everyone else but she was not finding anyone to allow her the opportunity to lean on them. Even though she had a deep desire to please at some point the well will run dry. Gunnar’s timing in Jillian’s life couldn’t have come at a better time. I love that Ms. McKenzie understood that Jillian’s submissive nature did not make her a doormat. She continues to show us Jillian’s strength even as she allowed her to give unto Gunnar. And Gunnar appreciated the limits of Jillian’s submissive nature and allowed her choices to reflect that strength. I enjoyed this story and if you are looking for a quick read with a light bdsm touch you will as well.

This series is sweet...sugary sweet. It is classified as BDSM because a large portion of the story occurs in a BDSM club, but you should be aware that there is no hardcore BDSM in this series. If you are looking for a little spanking and a lot of cuddling and kissing, then this is a great book for you!
This is an excellent series for readers who are interested in reading about the "fluffy" side of the culture as it barely tips the scale towards BDSM Lite.

There is something so hot about a man who knows how to control a strong woman with one touch, one kiss, and one look. Ms. Cooper has a way of writing that allows the reader to step inside the BDSM world without leaving the comfort of home. Jillian’s Master is a great story that fulfils every dominant fantasy I have had but still leaves me craving more. The plot is told beautifully as Jillian’s eyes are opened to a world she has only fantasized about and Gunner finds the sub he has been searching a long time for. I always enjoy a good BDSM tale and this one definitely has me wanting to tie myself up and enjoy the possibilities.

ACK!!! I went against my NEVER read novella stand and read this...and DAMMIT I LOVED it. There are two reasons I don't like to read novellas, EITHER they are too short and I can't get to know the H/h OR they are two short and I LOVE the H/h and CAN'T get enough of them. WELL Jillian's master is the latter, I absolutely LOVE Master G and Jillian.

Good short story if you don't mind the hole dom/sub thing - personally if it's taken too seriously I find it can get a bit annoying - i.e. girl get some counselling :) Enjoyable read if you know what you're getting into.

As always with Cooper's books, I wish this one was longer. These characters have an instant connection that only makes sense in romance novels! This is my favorite in this series so far.
